Ndamukong Suh is an overall dirty player...

He's constantly trying to intentionally hurt an opposing teams player. There was no need to him to lift up and drive Cutler into the turf like that. This isn't the first time he's done something like this and he's been suspended/fined previously for similar acts. There no place in football for players like that and I hope he gets his one of these days. It's only a matter of time.

Mangini, Mike Golic and four others this morning said it was a totally legit play. Cutler's throwing arm was still free, and that was the quickest way to get him on the ground, and totally legal. Just what I heard on the way to work.

About a week ago +-, I heard on Cowherd that Suh had threatened the driver of another vehicle... then threatened him again while the aforementioned other driver was awaiting police to make a report... this dude is Koo Koo.

Hit was technically legal but very unnecessary...

He could have easily grabbed him and pulled him to the ground. Instead he grabbed, picked up slightly and drove Cutler's shoulder into the turf with his entire body weight.

He has a few chop blocks coming very soon. I don't see many other teams allowing him to purposefully injure their players.

Most defensive linemen that don't have a mean/dirty streak to them aren't very good. It's a physical game. Don't fret though soon it will just be 7-on-7 or 11-on-11 but no touching.

At no point did Suh lift him up. Suh tackled him and landed on him. if Cutler doesnt want to get tackled hard then next time he should not let Suh catch him or just take a knee when he sees Suh coming after him.

^^^This^^^ I postulate that it will be an electronic version of flag football

The whole field will be electronic and once you are touched with a microchip-embedded baton, your location on the field is recorded.

This may be an unpopular position to take, but it seems to me that Cutler has just a touch of soccer *** in him. Little too much put on for my taste.

What would you have Suh do? Should he just have let Cutler go? Damn pussification of football is intensified by people like you who protect QB's at all costs.

You must have been watching the debate...

At no point did Suh lift him up. Suh tackled him and landed on him. if Cutler doesnt want to get tackled hard then next time he should not let Suh catch him or just take a knee when he sees Suh coming after him.

Suh bear hugged him, lifted and left his feet, bending cutler over and subsequently pointing his shoulder into the ground and putting all his weight on Cutler. A simple bear hug and pull to the ground would have sufficed. The leaving the feet pile drive action was more than enough to tackle cutler. I'm in no way saying cutler isn't a puss, but this isn't the first time Suh has appeared to want to injure the player he's tackling. The dude has a loose screw and a history of such tactics if you fail to remember. Why would the NFL even release a statement today about the hit if it wasn't borderline fine worthy?

Come on, Man!!
You really need to suck it up. It is football. People get hurt, it's part of the game. If you don't like it keep your children off the fields and on the courts, but don't complain because people that get paid to run and hit are hitting too hard.

Let those grown ups play football. I don't care if Cutler is on your fantasy team or not, it is not okay to tell the defensive players "okay, we need to get a stop here, but if you can, don't tackle him too hard."

Why do we insist on taking violence out of a violent game? Football used to be a man's game and I'm getting sick and 17ing tired of people acting like it shouldn't be a full contact sport. Go watch badminton.

i agree with you! he's a horrible cheat - almost as bad as Lance Armstrong....

he should be just like the rest of the league with regard to playing defense. everyone knows that if a defender touches an offensive player with the ball, that player is down automatically and the play is over. tackling is not required anymore.

I just watched it for the first time.

If Suh didn't already have the reputation of being dirty then I don't think this would be talked about at all. He was chasing the QB, grabbed his jersey, kept chasing, and pulled him down. It looks bad because he's so damn strong and it nearly broke Cutler in half.

I see no bear hug, no lifting, or Suh even leaving his feet as you describe.

To answer your question: Probably because it was Suh and people made a big deal about it.
