We aren't far away from being a really good team. We desperately need some posts to help out Jacobson who is really coming along and shooters to help Andrew, which we will get next year with Anton Gill. Where was Ed tonight?
We've got some really nice young players but Shields is going to be tough to replace. Need a big and for that transfer to step up big next year.

? Full moron? Had our best 3 pt shooter with the shot clock winding down and he tried to tie the game. Whatcha gonna do. IF it had gone its a tie game.

Yes, full moron. We didn't set a decent pick that entire sequence. He ended up having to shoot with 2 guys on him.

He was pretty gimpy the next time down the floor. Dunno. He didn't do much while he was in there and threw up a prayer on one shot that Miles couldn't have liked.
Perhaps it was the game plan...but Watsons prayer would be on par with Parker doubling down leaving Trimble wide open. That and Benny couldn't even draw iron down the stretch

Great effort against maybe one of the most talented teams in the country. I didn't think we could keep it within 15.

I have to admit I thought we'd get clobbered. I didn't think we could handle Stone. Had you told me before the game he'd get 15 and 10. I'd have figured they did.

I wasn't counting on winning when I woke up this morning but we still played great defense and had our chances.

4-6 and need to stay 9th and 8th seed going into the conference tournament.

The good news is that all but one game on our schedule (@Indiana) is winnable.

The bad news is that all but one is loseable too (can't see us losing to Rutgers this Saturday).

Beating Maryland would have given us a good shot at the NIT. But if we can finish in the middle of the conference and find a big man, I'll be optimistic going into next season.

We would be extremely lucky at this point to find a big man who can come in and help win games right away next year. Jacobsen looks like he will be a solid player but he's more of a 4. Miles missed the boat when he couldn't lock up the Aggie transfer.
