I've seen middle school teams with more creative offensive sets than this. Serious Miles? A right elbow 2 man game is the best you've got?

Nice crowd Iowa. I'm pretty sure we had bigger crowds in the Barry Collier Devaney Center era. Way to support your team after a great week.

It is still their break, students not back yet.

I turned it on and saw NU was ahead 22-19. NU has not scored since then. Then now trail 29-22. I see NU had an early 10 point lead, which was frittered away rather quickly.

We have 0 offense. I don't think it matters who Miles brings in, I doubt we will ever even be average offensively with him at the helm.

Wow...NU hit a 3 with 7:35 to go in the first half to take a 22-19 lead. They didn't score again in the half. More than 7 and a half minutes without scoring. Iowa leads 31-22 at the half.

Wow...

Entire possessions in which no NU player goes anywhere near the lane. I think we should name this the Caution: Wet Paint offense.

I think part of this can be attributed to Iowa being very long. They lead the B1G in blocked shots & have more than a handful this game.

So if we go 0 for in the B1G, does Miles still have a job?

This will be NU's 12th straight conference loss. I scanned NU's schedules going back to Cip's first season in 1962 and couldn't find any stretch where they lost that many in a row.

When the new facilities were built, I can't believe that the plan included setting new records for ineptitude in basketball.

Well, sure. But you still need to work the ball in and out, instead of just pointlessly swinging it around the perimeter.

Your team is getting trounced and you're concerned about the home crowd attendance?
Can't speak for Harry, but that's as close to a conference victory as we've seen in a while... Don't come down to hard on us...

Where do we order the rims that give us these kind rolls Iowa keeps getting? Frustrating!

We weren't getting trounced when I made that post.

Your team is fun to watch. I'm sure they appreciate a half-full arena coming off of two huge wins. But then again your football stadium had plenty of empty seats during your best football season ever too. Guess there's a lot going on in Iowa City.

Miles go to play is a 2 man pick and roll game on the right elbow with the other 3 players standing on the left sideline. It's pathetic, my middle school school coaches ran better sets then he does.

I think 80% of Nebraska fans live within an hour of Lincoln.

20% of Iowa fans live within an hour of Iowa City; it takes a bit of an effort for them to travel that far on a weeknight.

Spread was 15.5. Hawks didn't cover. Moral victory. Good game Tai! We need more of that.

I wish we'd go back to playing at the Bob in front of 4k people a night, just like the good ol days when I was a kid. Sneak in an NIT run every couple of years.... Life was simpler back then.

We might be around 4k a game anyways shortly Sick

We had 15,000 at PBA each of the last 2 games with our students on break....and we suck.

Iowa City - 67,000 for 15,500 seats
Lincoln - 300,000 for 15,000 seats
Population and opponent play a huge role in midweek games. Probably @ 12,000 at the game tonight.

Wiki shows the Lincoln metro at 318,000 and city at 258,000 and IA City's metro at 164,000 but the city at 67,000
So you chose the smallest number for IA City and the largest number for Lincoln to argue why Iowa fans were sparse tonight and why the Huskers pulled 15K?

You failed to consider the additional 100k residents (potential hawkeye fans) in the IA City metro.... Convenient yes?

Cedar Rapids is about as far from Iowa City as my home to my work.

After beating MSU and Purdue, maybe their basketball fans see Nebraska like some here saw Southeastern Louisiana?

Truly who cares. They won. They have a really good basketball team.

Could be Fran's best team. Gotta win a lot of games this year with losing 4 seniors next season.
