I think we all are enjoying this fully expecting a late season collapse.
I’m ready to be hurt again. Will be at the tourney again this year. Attended in ‘14 in San Antonio, and ‘24 in Memphis.
I wonder what Fred will do as we go into the conference tournament undefeated and top ranked? I say he plays the end of the bench and rests them. Probably play the main guys very sparingly on the first round 1-16 matchup. Be ready to go full tilt for the round of 32 games, and finish it out full strength.

We have only one quad 1 win at this time (at Illinois), but OU (52), KSU (53) and New Mexico (57) will be Q1 wins if they can get to 50 or above in the NET rankings.

I believe there are a group of elite level of teams:

  1. Michigan
  2. UConn
  3. Arizona
  4. Iowa St
  5. Duke
  6. Purdue
  7. Gonzaga
  8. Michigan St

Then there are the really good teams but not elite:

  1. Florida
  2. North Carolina
  3. Illinois
  4. Kansas
  5. Alabama
  6. Nebraska
  7. BYU
  8. Texas Tech
  9. Houston
Then there are a bunch of teams that could cause problems in the tourney:

  1. Indiana
  2. Kentucky
  3. Louisville
  4. Vanderbilt
  5. Tennessee
  6. Virginia
  7. USC
  8. Iowa

Nebraska is very good. They could have ran Illinois out of the building but Illinois is good. An OK team leading on the road at Illinois (after having a big lead) would have lost that game.

Nebraska has had 4 different leading scores in games. They aren't a one-horse team which presents problems for defenses. They have a consistant offense and their defense is fairly solid.

They don't seem to get rattled and their overall discipline is outstanding. They still make some silly mistakes and sometimes get caught standing when the ball goes up but this is the best Nebraska basketball team I've seen in my lifetime.

I am critical of Berke at times, and maybe unfairly so, but he's got passion and energy like what made Keisei so much fun to watch.

We? Other than last year, Fred has never had a late season collapse. Is your memory the length of you pecker?
I'm not sure you've watched NU men's athletics for the last 20 years (Is a horse cock 20"?), but we've been the definition of unclutch. Fred has had some decent wins but last season they had an epic collapse.

The win against North Dakota was not impressive. They played very poorly in the first half and if we had been playing a good team , that would have been a loss.

If they had been playing a good team, I doubt they would have been sleepwalking through the first half. That said, I hope they learned a lesson there because that will bite them in the a$$ eventually

It’s safe to say the fact the game was against a poor team after 3 big wins and week off led to a bad performance the first half. The fact they turned it into a 20+ point win tells you this team is not like past husker teams.

The shooting problems they had in the first half I don’t think had anything to do with the opponent but they dug themselv s out of the hole before half time. I expect they’ll have another game or two in conference where they’ll hit cold stretches like that. This one just happened at the start of a game against a very weak team.

And, if you actually read my ENTIRE post, like I did yours, I mentioned that last season was the only late season collapse Fred has had since becoming head coach at NU.

God, I ******* hate liberal ******** that spout off before they read.

Just because your mom took too much tylenol doesn't mean you be douche lol. Fred's first few seasons were entire season collapses.

I'm going to overlook the Mom comment, because I know you are just a dick. But, NU basketball was and still is the most embarrassing NCAA D1 program in the history of basketball. I think Fred has finally figured this thing out. And, if he doesn't parlay this into a 20+ win season and a top half NCAA tourney seeding, I will come back and eat crow. But, I choose to enjoy the season. Not **** on it every chance I get.

I appreciate the bold strategy by Fred. NU has never won a tourney game? How about going undefeated and getting a #1 seed? That should make it a little easier to finally get that tourney win. Haha
