Because I can't find any help on yahoo, was wondering if any of y'all have had your work email spammed and how you managed it. Were you able to continue you on with your regular email address after tinkering with some of the controls? Did you have to scrap the old account and start over? Any help is appreciated.

essentials ( free download) then install Zone Alarm Firewall or some other good firewall. You could try Malwarebytes anti-malware free download. Also keep your email addresses but change your passwords. Good luck.

Some spam emails from reputable groups will have a removed from mailing list link. This will work on spam that comes from "reputable"places like BestBuy, Apple, etc. If it is emails hocking the little blue pill or adding three inches to your pecker it is better to just block them or mark them as junk.

Something on your computer is accessing your address book and spewing out spam. Safest bet is to backup your files, wipe your hard drive, and rebuild your system.

Or if you feel up to it, you can try to clean it up. Start with MalwareBytes. It's free and finds most malware.

superantispyware is the best I've found to clean up the bugs.

1. Add malware program as suggested above.
2. Consider adding a false contact named [email protected]. That way when your contacts list get hacked you will receive a bad email address message and you will know immediately that you have been hacked. These programs generally go in alphabetical order thus the AAA contact.
3. Add a program called mailwasher to reduce your spam load. It lets you view what mail is on your server, choose which messages to receive, and delete plus bounce messages you don't want. The receiver of the bounced message gets a bad email address message and deletes your address from their in inventory.
