Generally universities don’t have formal student dress codes. I just googled Penn State, Georgetown, Duke, nothing.
Actually, Penn State have a dress code for certain programs. MHA has a business casual dress code.

She wore a hoody sweatshirt today, which is good, because she came up to talk to me about something after class.

Only 28 more classes to go.
Hoodie with no bra probably.

What state are you in (as in what part of the country)?

This girl is either so lacking in self-awareness or has voluntarily disregarded conventional wisdom to seek attention - probably the latter. Either way, any attempt to address this with her directly or through the university will be received horribly. I'd suck it up and deal with it for the semester. Review the handbook or reach out to the school after the semester is over to inquire about how a teacher should deal with violations of the dress code, and put the class on notice during the first class of next semester.

Exactly.
Or call 911.

The cold weather provided me with a two-week respite, but that’s not far off from what happened yesterday when I was so focused on looking her in the eye during our conversation (very low cut tank top instead of a bathing suit).

With so much direct eye contact, I wouldn’t be surprised if she now thinks I actually do have a thing for her à la Mike Heck in the Middle (IYKYK).

What if the last day she says I couldn’t have tried harder to get your attention this semester.

I’d tell her she got my attention, and then I’d book a hotel room for me and my wife since she lost the bet.

Try the Jane Goodall approach...interact with the student. 🙄

Yeah, you read that correctly. In 30 years of teaching undergraduates, I’ve seen a lot of, ahem, cleavage. I usually ignore it - or pull a Jerry Seinfeld - but I’m having a difficult time this semester with one particular student who sits right in front of me when I’m talking to the class and apparently has no qualms displaying her physical attributes.

Today, as I was handing out an assignment, I happened to look at her and noticed not just her cleavage, but also that her nipples were protruding through her top. As soon as I saw that, I immediately looked away since I’m like 40 years older than them and not a perv.

Confounding my dilemma is the fact that she’s very attractive (you can throw a flag, but it ain’t gonna’ happen) and an outstanding student who asks a lot of really good questions, so I HAVE to look at her.

After class, as I was walking back to my office, I thought…why not ask the AKB for guidance and advice on how to deal with this “problem” since, let’s face it, what else is there to discuss right now?

So, anyway, what do all ya’ll got for me?
You came to this board for advise? Really?
