Near the convention center would be better.

Need a good meal & a good night's sleep.

Anybody taking the FE in Vicksburg? If the MSU-Bama game is at night, we might need a watching party after the test.

The only time I ever stayed in Vicksburg was on the way to the Snow Bowl. Stayed at a casino hotel ... I think it was called the American Casino. Pretty nice hotel and a reasonable price. You may not want the distractions if you're testing though.

Probably a bad crowd to ask...

About eighty percent of this board is from Vicksburg so the only hotel we ever stayed in was the Scottish Inn after homecoming. Seriously though casino is probably the best way to go the old Harrah's (I think Horizon now) is very close to the convention center but I'm not sure of quality or cost. I think it's closed never mind.

Actually there are several new ones along I20. Try google, but there is one at

Halls Ferry and 4 where I20 hits Clay Street.

By the way, make sure your license is current. Knew someone who went to the test and his was expired. They didn't let him in to take test

Yeahhh...dodged a bullet there. My DL expires 7 days after the test!

i have had several work associates that stay at the courtyard marriott and the hampton inn when they come to town. those aren't too far to the convention center. i've stayed in the candlewood suites and the hampton inn myself. i've known a few to stay at Ameristar. i've heard it's nice.

Hampton inn is nice. Rusty's (I think that is the name) is a good place to eat

I've stayed at the Hampton Inn...and across from there is a restaurant named Jacques..pretty good..or was anyway.

Also, the Hampton Inn by the military park is supposedly one of the nicer ones.

Cedar Grove Inn. Love that place and stay anytime I'm in the area. It's a B&B and probably the most historic one I've ever stayed.

Definitely give Rusty's a try. It is downtown so not too far from the convention center. Their fried green tomatoes covered in hollandaise sauce and lump crab meat are the tits.

Damn you! One should never mention Walnut Hills fried chicken unless it is on the way to eat it. Unreal good.

I landscaped that KFC bact in the day. The owner put a nice basketball court out back for the local kids. The hoop and backboard were gone after two days. We'd pack up everything as soon as it was getting dusk and get the hell out of the bottom.

Rusty's - as previously mentioned - is good. I'd add Martin's to the list if you like sandwiches. They also have a good beer selection.

Yes. Nice hotel, pretty quiet location. Stayed there for a couple of days for a workshop. They have a free beer/wine social in the evenings and your typical Hampton free breakfast in the mornings.

Good call on Rusty's.

I'm the dude at the bar in the State jacket.

And good luck fellow engineers that are doing this tomorrow.

Gonna be finished by game time? May not feel like watching. I've never did the PE, but took both the general and engineering parts of the GRE on the same day, and was physically ill when I got out.

I am we'll prepared. I took a 8-hour practice test early this week and did well on it. Time flew. Didn't feel like I sat still for 8 hours, but I was mentally drained.

Later got half way through a second practice test and then stopped. Decided I didn't need it. Believe me, I am sick of looking at this stuff.

i am confident about to tomorrow.
