Rain has broke but there is more at a distance coming in. Kind of makes me nervous about getting the games in when you see severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings being issued in SC that is heading that direction. I REALLY hope we can get those six outs very quickly and then get out of Dodge. Too close to let this slip away now. Any way the teams or NCAA could tell ESPN to go take a hike on their TV time?

There should be a clause in future contracts that dictates if a game is not completed after the last scheduled game (3:00 today) all game times must be 11:30.

There is no reason to risk not getting a game in during a perfect window because of TV. That beyond unfair to teams. Give them the best chance to play the game out on the field and not have limited windows due to TV.

With that said, I think we get this game in today.

If there is rain moving back in around start time, it makes me want to start someone other than Holder even more...It would suck *** if he warmed up and threw about 15 pitches in the 8th and then a 5 hour rain delay happened. Maybe we should pick up with ole rubber armed Ross and then bring Holder in when we are sure he actually gets to close this biatch

The Monday window was always an "if necessary" thing. I don't even see why its required they televise these final 2 innings of Game 2 except on ESPN3 if its a problem for them to show it at noon time.

We probably could have got the game in a little earlier yesterday if it weren't for ESPN. They really should have more flexibility when weather is in the area.

Yes, I agree. They knew that today would be rainy and that the liklihood was higher in the afternoon. Why not at least schedule the remainder of the game in the morning ... then go with a 6 p.m. start for the 3rd game if needed. It's almost like they were hoping for more rain. Of course, everybody was at the stadium until about midnight last night.
