Never mess with an 88-year-old retired sportswriter and numbersaholic!

NOW do you believe the numbers and my 88-year-old eyeballs?

86-70! The closest Gonzaga came was BEFORE the opening tipoff: 0-0. After that, Baylor shot out to an 11-1 lead and NEVER trailed.

Baylor held Gonzaga to its lowest point total of the season with the Bears’ tenacious defense that brought almost 20 points from turnovers. It was 21 points BELOW the Zags’ season average because they didn’t play against Big 12 competition all season like Baylor did.

Gonzaga made 5 of 17 attempts at 3-pointers, its worst showing in March Madness.

Remember, my expert eyeballs and I said Big 12 was equal to any conference at the top and superior in depth?

Well, check this out:

Baylor had a tougher game than the 16-point gap against Gonzaga from Big 12 members Iowa State (0-17 in the Big 12!), which lost by FIVE and 11; Oklahoma, which lost by 15; Texas Tech, which lost by 8 and 15; Kansas, which lost by 8 and 13; Oklahoma State, which lost by 11 and 15 but DEFEATED Baylor in the Big 12 tournament by 9!; Texas, which lost by 14; West Virginia, which lost by 5 IN OVERTIME; and Kansas State, which lost by 6.

THIRTEEN TIMES Baylor had a closer game with Big 12 teams than with no-longer-undefeated Gonzaga!

Anyone who refuses to believe the Big 12 had the best team AT THE TOP and the BEST DEPTH is just so overcome with jealousy that they can’t see reality.

The numbers were right for a month, as I have posted, and been savaged for it. And my dinosaur eyeballs have been right for a month.

As for the Big 10: Creampuffs!

Anyone idiotic enough to dispute THAT now?

Apologize for attacking my numbers and my eyeballs those who did, particularly Big 12 apologists, if you’re man enough to do so!

This was the most dominating performance, opening tipoff to final horn, that I can remember and I'm 88 years old. And against an undefeated team! Gonzaga would NOT have gone unbeaten in the Big 12. Hell, the Zags would have struggled to finish second or third, maybe even fourth!

Every team in the Big 12 deserves a share of the credit for Baylor's dominance over Gonzaga. After surviving the Big 12 gauntlet, March Madness was a piece of cake for Baylor. No one made the Bears sweat. Hartford lost by 24, Houston by 19, Wisconsin by 13, Arkansas by 9, Villanova by 11, Gonzaga by 16.

That's a combined margin of 92 points, or 15.3 average per game.

Baylor had a tougher time against Big 12 teams SIX TIMES than it did against any team it played in March Madness!

Give it up, guys. Baylor is #1 and so is Big 12 depth. Stop disagreeing with me and making yourself the laughing stock on sports forums in America!

CFE...the guy who never went to college...never was a journalist of any kind...never left the confines of Granville...never had a woman (not made of rubber or plastic)...thinks you golf with a bowling ball...and lives...lives...for attention from government check to government check. Pathetic.

The final USA Today/Coaches Poll is live. After having read countless propaganda threads started by CFE, I was shocked to see that No. 1 Baylor was the only Big 12 team to finish in the Top 15 of the only reputable postseason human poll. The A.P. voters apparently don't cast ballots after the NCAA Tournament has begun.

Yeah, but any word on whether or not the coaches consulted with a pair of 88 year old eyeballs, prior to casting their votes?

Wow! Good find. According to Mrs Old Timer I was expecting 5 Big 12 teams in Top 15, 3 teams in next 10 with TCU and Iowa St getting a few votes. Obviously from his weeee hours posting he’s one of the local trolls.

Those 88 year old eyeballs certainly should of seen John Wooden’s UCLA teams spank several schools in the finals back in the 60s and 70s.

Looks like the order they finished the tourney. Shocking.
