Washington Jr., a 2029 prospect out of Cajon High School in San Bernardino, California. Washington is a legitimate dual-threat QB who can hurt a defense with his arm or take off and make something happen with his legs. As a freshman, he produced 2,235 passing yards and 22 passing touchdowns while adding 681 rushing yards, giving him nearly 3,000 yards of total offense. Washington has the athletic tools that fit what Will Stein wants to do offensively. His Hudl profile lists a 4.28 shuttle and 11.17 100-meter time, and his film/production shows a quarterback comfortable creating outside the pocket rather than simply scrambling as a last resort. The exciting part is that he's still only a sophomore, so there is plenty of development ahead before he ever reaches Lexington. Continuing to improve his accuracy and consistency from the pocket, processing coverages, going through progressions and knowing when to extend a play versus taking the easy completion will be important. His freshman numbers—59.3% completions with 22 TDs and 12 interceptions—show both the playmaking ability and some natural areas for a young quarterback to polish. By the time Washington arrives at Kentucky, he could be a much more physically and technically developed quarterback. The raw ingredients are already there: arm talent, speed, mobility and the ability to make defenses account for all 11 players. Agreed. Add to that style of play. Stoops was boring, bend don't break defense and clock control ground n pound offense. Kids don't want to to play that, they want to be aggressive. Stein is bringing that on both sides of the ball.
