WowSoFi stadium in LA was $5.5B
early response out of Oxford is the new $350M OM stadium update will have more magestic columns and more southern charmAll those columns make me think the architects have previous experience at Ole Miss… **
I don't see enough brick.still waiting for a response from Madison the City![]()
Original estimates for Jerry world were under $900mil, but Jerry said, “nah, I want the first billion dollar stadium”Wow
I looked up Jerryworld and it was basically $1.5. $4 Billion is absolutely crazy to me. What do I know though?
SoFi original estimate was $2B, ballooned up to $5.5B - but we are talking about California in that case, but DC might say "hold my beer" on the $4B estimate and wow us all againOriginal estimates for Jerry world were under $900mil, but Jerry said, “nah, I want the first billion dollar stadium”
Looks an awful lot like old RFK.All those columns make me think the architects have previous experience at Ole Miss… **
Construction costs have gone up significantly since Jerry World was built. It wouldn’t be 1.5B today let me assure you if that.Wow
I looked up Jerryworld and it was basically $1.5. $4 Billion is absolutely crazy to me. What do I know though?
It’s also a terrible stadium. I don’t like it.Construction costs have gone up significantly since Jerry World was built. It wouldn’t be 1.5B today let me assure you if that.
They are. The RFK site is just not in line with them.I've never noticed that the mall, Washington monument, and Lincoln memorial aren't aligned due west of the Capitol.

Opposite. Check the satellite view. The intent was for the Washington monument to align due West of Capitol and due South of the White House. The precise location was too swampy for the structure so it was placed in a more stable spot 1 degree south of due west from Capitol for more stable ground. They are. The RFK site is just not in line with them.

It's crazy that Jerryworld is starting to be an old stadium.Wow

They've done a pretty good job updating what's turned out to be a decent skeleton. (It got another renovation recently, and there's a big project in the works for the Superdome/Smoothie King Center.) Concourses are still too narrow, but it's OK. New Orleans is set up really well for hosting big events. Lots of hotel rooms nearby in an area set up for hospitality (restaurants, bars, other "entertainment"). Tom Benson barked for years wanting a new stadium, but the city/state has done a good job fending that off by just jamming money in the Benson Family coffers through advantageous deals. How in the holy hell has the Superdome stood this much of a test of time and still a premier venue for bowls and the NFL? It's insane to me. Is it just New Orleans? I guess it did he refurbished after Katrina.
Probably something to do with the Free Masons.I've never noticed that the mall, Washington monument, and Lincoln memorial aren't aligned due west of the Capitol.

Yeah, it does. Does it have a roof? Hard to tell from the two pictures - one looks open, the other looks closed. I'd think it would be very hard to build a roof that would open and close, given the saddle configuration.Looks an awful lot like old RFK.
Especially true for highway construction.Construction costs have gone up significantly since Jerry World was built. It wouldn’t be 1.5B today let me assure you if that.
I'd not be surprised ....Where will the Trump sign go?****
It was just a joke so hopefully this does not start a golfer and pain 5 page insult thread.
Went to the ULL game a few years ago and and I was impressed. First time I'd been since the early 80's. Hard to believe it was built in 71 and still doesn't look all that dated. They've done a pretty good job updating what's turned out to be a decent skeleton. Is it worth all the money to move back inside the District? The stadium they have now in the suburbs seems perfectly adequate.
Is that a roof or a screen door on top?
Either screen or plexiglass. Whichever is cheaper once the budget is blown***Is that a roof or a screen door on top?
