i see what you are saying now. apparently, dyslexia is occurring somewhere in the chain. scotts twitter says 62,307 and the hailstate stats page i linked says 63,207. it was also on the wiki page. over capacity turnout either way.

it wasnt that way the whole game though. those were military tickets. The guys were down by the field early then went up to the upperdeck and then they had to leave at the beginning of the fourth quarter. Those were full seats though

it wasn't empty all night. There were service members sitting there half the night.

it didn't look as full as Auburn, but there wasn't any empty sections.

I set in the east upperdeck far left and there were more people last night in the east upperdeck than at the auburn game

Ditto for me. I really think we very much undersold the Auburn crowd, but I have to wonder if the administration didn't want to admit a herd of folks got in without a ticket by rushing a gate.
I can see last night officially being over 63k. There were only 150 student guest and standing room tickets available on the 29th, and we had a crapload of prospects there. I'll go to my grave believing we were approaching 65k for the Auburn game, though. Every nook and cranny outside the scoreboard club walkway was filled with people; we had a guy in a wheelchair rolled in beside us, and his wife in a folding chair behind us. It was like that everywhere I looked.

I don't know why we ever decided to build those upper deck seats anyway. No one wants to climb those ramps (especially folks my Dad's age with bad knees and hips) and then get sunburned and wind chilled for 3 hours. We should have just bowled in an endzone like the Vet in Jackson. Every game I've ever seen our upper decks on TV there have been big empty sections in plain view. Oh well... too late now.

I'm 64 and I gladly make that hike every game for the chance to watch our team.

Oh the humanity. Peoples ability to ***** about any and all things has reached a new low. Donate more funds so you can be in the creature comforts of the indoors.

If you can get past the way they are sloped and the movement you feel they are the best seats of any stadium's upper deck I've been to.

I sat in the lower deck for years and have now set in the new upper deck since it was built. I much prefer the upper deck. You can see great. More leg room and the concourse is indoors (heated and cooled) which is great when you have little kids that need a break from the elements. Also has elevators
