Trey Dickerson said in his interview with Paul last night that if he likes Ray and the rest of the players then he will likely sign on his visit. He would be a solid pg.

would be nice to pick up Brandon Morris as a JUCO to give us somebody a little more ready to play. Heck, we could definitely use both.

but that tape was loaded with clips of him playing against chumps.

i liked the intro.... with him getting frisked. that's always a sign of a good recruit.

If so, that probably means he was playing against good competition. Usually two good teams meet in a venue like that.

No need to sign a bunch of freshmen to fill out the class unless they are quality guys. We already have 4 freshmen coming in. Coach Ray needs to be able to have plenty of spots over the next 2 years for recuiting. We don't need anymore attrition in the next few years, we need stability...

Obviously Banks will be gone to the NFL, but he was good at basketball. I recall Gholar going to play football for one season, Linc Smith wasn'tcompletely terrible. Bost was all state football. Surely there are a few guys who might be able to help.

We need bodies at this point. What about Justin Malone; didn't he play basketball? If you could round up 2-3 guys off the football team, they might be able to contribute a few minutes here and there.

Is this unthinkable?

except there is always turnover in college basketball. Every team gets 13 scholarships. Use them!! Every year. Gone are the days of 4 year commitments. It's a 1 yr commitment by both parties. At the end of the year each spot is either signed on for another year or it's freed up again. It's basketball not football. You think that's ******? Of course it is but it's what's necessary for MSU to survive in this UK one and done dominated league. Look at what the "precious home state from a great family guaranteed lottery pick Rodney Overated Hood" just did. MSU needs to be proactive with this and stop being reactive and waiting for the player to 17 us. You want 2 more scholarships to be able to sign 2 guys next year? Fine the bottom 2 from this years class get trimmed off at the end of the year. They all get told upfront its a year to year scholarship. Don't be the last two guys on the bench.

That's what he did, and look where we are now?
I am pretty sure we are trying to get away from multiple players leaving our program year after year.
Of course there will be some attrition, but I am pretty sure Scott and Ray do not want to continue with the amount of transfers we have had in the past few year.
We are not, and will never be UK in basketball.

13 scholarships, every year. You used to could sign maybe seven? over any two year period? There are probably exceptions, but I don't think you can sign a bunch of people this year to fill out the team and then cut them next year so that you can sign a bunch more.
