A Gremlin.By the way I am not from Shamokin. I'm actually from East Brady.
I'm telling you guys, you are going to be absolutely over the moon as soon as you see this guy's results on the field. Like I said we need a coach not a name. This dude is a straight up ball coach. He is literally the anti-Franklin.Another passenger on the Chesney train. Welcome aboard.
Yes Sir. Great playoff run this year, just ran into one of those recruiting machines in Farrell last week unfortunately. But a fantastic program run completely on local kids and no outside area recruiting, a rarity these days in Pennsylvania school ball.A Gremlin.
Got to see KC two times in my life, when they lost in a blizzard in Erie in 97 to a LOADED Wilmington team at the buzzer, and in 01 they got upset by Sharon. Nice program.Yes Sir. 10th on who’s list? Yours? The media? Do you know who was interested in the job in the first place, who did well in interviews? Do you even know for certain Chesney is the guy or only candidate? What if it's Al Golden?
We're all the way down to Chesney. When this thing started, he was about 10th on the list. What happens if he really goes to UCLA? All that Hollywood stuff is hard for some people to turn down. I hate it myself, but he might like it.
Then it's back to Fitzgerald or Al Golden. Still I'd give Diaz a call before them.
Do you even know for certain Chesney is the guy or only candidate?
Thanks! Yeah I always liked him but then really got on board last week. His qualities are off the charts. Again, seems to figure out every level he’s at within 2 seasons. He’s ready for the next level! (Whatever team that is). And really some of these coaches only have 2 years at a bigger school before they really hit the big time. If that’s the case, why can we just take Chesney now and I think by year two we’ll see really good progress. (I get it, DeBoer is in play)Another passenger on the Chesney train. Welcome aboard.
Haha yeah good analogy. Seems like he’s had to adapt along the way and figure out many different kinds of situations. That bodes really well. He’s probably a real grinder. Dad said he’s been obsessed with football since he was born.I'm starting to like the idea of Chesney more and more. D3 to D2 to FCS to FBS. He just keeps climbing and has won everywhere he has coached.
I like to think of him as the anti-Ryan Day. Starting at the plate with two strikes already called.
I have been to Karns City and East Brady numerous times. But I never realized they were close together.Yes Sir. Great playoff run this year, just ran into one of those recruiting machines in Farrell last week unfortunately. I’m sure you have, but if you have not, go watch Bob Chesneys full JMU introductory press conference. I was really impressed! He actually seems very similar to Franklin in a lot of ways, except he’s a much better version. (He wants to develop the players as people, believes in academics, believes in the family atmosphere)I'm telling you guys, you are going to be absolutely over the moon as soon as you see this guy's results on the field. Whether a hire is a homerun, triple, double, etc. will actually be determined by results on the field next few seasons, not how people grade the initial hiring.Drinkwitz would be a disappointing hire. Is Kalshi another Sekrah?
Drinkwitz would be a disappointing hire. Is Kalshi another Sekrah? How do these people come up with their code names? Kashi, LOL
Biggest takeaway for me is rise of KDB from basically nil to secondDrinkwitz would be a disappointing hire. Is Kalshi another Sekrah? How do these people come up with their code names? Kashi, LOL
It's notIf it is Fitzgerald then Kraft should be fired at Fitz’s introductory news conference.
Still no because Terry most likely would still be the PS HC at that time, not that he's going to be the hire because he's probably not. What if Penn State has no coach when Franklin inevitably offers him a position?
Lane staying busyOle Miss has a bye this week.
Joe has one of the greatest big game record in history. Including tne best in bowls and even better in the biggest bowls.Totally false. Schiano, O'Brien and rhule have a combine 0 top 10 wins for their careers.
Top 5 is currently 48-3. Three coaches have too 5 wins this year out of 51 games. Most d1 coaches never get a top 5 win in their career. In a typical season the top 5 goes about 55-5.
You would know franklins record is above average except you only look at franklin's record. If you are going to talk bs about historically bad all time record then post the all time record list.
Joe had 0 top 5 wins this century. 0 top 9 wins this century. One win vs a #10 team since 2000.
False. Rhule, schiano and O'Brien have 0 top 10 wins for their careers.

Spoken like a joebot. Joe being great is irrelevant. He is dead. You won't be happy til Joe's corpse is introduced at the press conference.Joe has one of the greatest big game record in history. Including tne best in bowls and even better in the biggest bowls.
Franklin? One of the worst!
While true, Chesney would have a whole new level of recruits available (3-5 star guys), way more money to operate, and a big name school behind him.2024-2025 combined records: JMU 18-5, Mizzou 17-6, Bama 17-6. Strength of schedule avg - JMU 92.5, Mizzou 38.5, Bama 2.5. Chesney is interesting but not comparable to Drink or Deboer.
So by this logic any p4 coach was better than Cignetti until he took the Indiana job. It’s impossible to be a better coach if you don’t coach at the highest level? Because I know some pretty awful coaches in D1 right now and I’d take a Chesney or Cignetti over all of them.2024-2025 combined records: JMU 18-5, Mizzou 17-6, Bama 17-6. PSU also just got rid of one of the worst in game coaches in the sport. JF was laughably awful in game. I’d rather take my chances with a Chesney.

Franklin is nowhere near the worst. He finished in the top 10 multiple times vs most coaches who never crack the top 20 like golden, rhule, schiano and O'Brien.
Rhule has never beaten a team that finished in the top 20 ever!
Well, you are right, he doesn't have the worst record in history, only 3rd worst.Totally false. Schiano, O'Brien and rhule have a combine 0 top 10 wins for their careers.

To piggy back onto this, Joe and that 05 team don’t get enough credit for that Ohio State win.False... PSU beat #6 at the time and #4 at the end of year OSU in 2005 and beat #10 OSU at the time of game and #9 at the end of season OSU in 2008. Are you just making things up, assuming no one will check your facts? Pathetic!
