By the way they reacted in the UCLA and NW game it's clear Franklin did lose the locker room. Terry brought it back.
I guess your definition of losing the locker room and mine are different. If he lost the locker room they would have wanted him gone.

It’s Lane Kiffin. Check out Josh Pate’s recent tweet.
That would be an odd fit. I do think Kiffin is a solid coach and you take him if you can get him in this cycle, but culturally he's not what you think of when you think of PSU football. His tweets alone would rub many alumni the wrong way.

Today everyone's a smart ***. Look into it.
Lighten up Francis, I don't have anything against you or your posts. Sarcasm is my second language and my last post is a movie quote. IDK why but you've had some oddly thin skin with some of the responses to your posts in the past couple of weeks.

I'm not sure how players no longer giving a good effort on the field for their coach could be considered anything but losing the locker room. The team threw in the towel after the Oregon loss and was just going through the motions. It seemed Franklin was largely doing the same at that point.

They were one defensive stop in each game from winning…I don’t call that throwing in the towel. Throwing in the towel is getting boat raced.

It's easier on everyone if people just say what's actually on their mind. Sarcasm is simply mockery and a way to avoid debate.

Franklin had checked out it's that simple. Pampering your players only works in tennis and other poor little rich boy sports.

If Terry Smith gets the job it proves Penn State isn’t serious about being a national title contender. Penn State fans have blind loyalty and this clamoring for Terry is purely emotional. Just because your favorite barista for the last 13 years is extremely passionate about making your chai tea latte doesn’t mean they should be CEO of Starbucks.
Jesus, their chai tea latte's are the best. I have to admit.

Losing by one score to teams that you significantly out-talent and as a 21+ point favorite essentially is getting boat-raced.

It’s not the things like guys running away from each other that make be think he’s terrible.

It’s the things he has control over like the end of half strategy that made no sense and that his defense just runs itself out of gaps every other play but they continue to do it.

The players didnt necessarily quit on the year on their own. Franklin checked out after OU, anx the team responded accordingly.

Terry is asking these guys for maximum effort and to fight for every yard. And the team has responded accordingly. The NU game was easily the best game they played all year.

Hmm wonder why Penn State lost more guys than everyone else who fired a coach. Might be that the guy coordinating it all at the new place was sending some signals while still at the old place.

It is more than that. Multiple schools fired their coaches and psu is the only one with this many decommits. Only one hired a replacement
True but I don’t think Franklin promised big NIL money to incoming recruits. He saved it for guys who have been here awhile. Less incentive for them to stay at PSU vs. a place like Florida who promises recruits NIL.

If true, PSU needs to file a lawsuit against him. Send a message to him and Chrome Dome

I would imagine, as Omar says, it’s all in the game. Don’t know how much would then be breaking rules or what rules.

But I’m certain these guys weren’t exactly fighting to make their employer happy when they knew they’d be leaving in a few weeks.

And this …: Alex Haskell’s father is the account holder posting the original tweet

Again, in the Wild West of this era it’s going to be gone with the wind and I’m not even sure how much is breaking rules.

But there’s just no way that every other school has kids staying on but one school is seeing a collapse. Either that one school isn’t doing something the others are or vice versa. But it just doesn’t happen organically.

So are the people who told everybody to decommitt still part of the current PSU staff? Im kinda confused on the timing of this one.

The “insiders” on other boards have zero idea at this point other than a “mystery man,” which sounds like BS. Terry is getting an interview tomorrow but it is speculated that it is a courtesy interview or a plea to get him to stay under the new hc. Tengwell on YouTube today is now pro-terry. Kraft has no leaks in his operation.
