I am having a hard time believing that Deboer will only become our coach if he loses that game. I would have to imagine the next coach has already signed an MOU. Lots flying around today on our search and other searches. Now there are rumblings Brohm is getting interviewed in the 11th hour, which is ridiculous.

I don't disagree. DeBoer is a fine coach. I don't think Alabama loses to Auburn, and if they do, it is not like Franklin's decades of losing big games.

Like I said the other day, I don't see what's really in it for him other than $15 MM. He's already pulling down 10.25. It's Alabama for crying out loud.

Antimarino won 3 WPIAL title games and tied in 2 others to be co-champions. They were all before the state playoffs were created. A shame for the school as that was their heyday athletically (and academically).

I do not see listings on this chart related to when Gateway won 2 title games in the later teens after Coach Smith was no longer there.

How is Kingsbury any worse than Chesney or Smith?
Well, he has a sub .500 record in both cfb and NFL. Smith is just sub .500 in cfb right now. I know one of those three is at least over .500.

Add in relatively minimal time associated in the college game the past half dozen seasons, please no to KK.

These newer names tossed about the past day or so are disappointing to hear. The BYU guy may have interest if they get miss out of CFP invite again, but would he be a fish out of water in this region? Would he really be a better option than Chesney?

He’s an equal/better option than Chesney.
He’s a better option than Smith.
My opinion, ymmv.

What time does Kiffin announce he is coming to Penn State?

I’m kiffing. I hope he stays at Ole Miss.

Remains to be seen. What is happening now is under a unique set of circumstances …

I believe we are down to 9 commitments.
Saw where Jackson Ford met with Kraft recently. Am I the only one beginning to wonder if the real reason Penn State has had so many de-commits compared to other schools who fired coaches is that he isn’t convincing them he will make a great hire and that the program will be just fine and also that he may have overestimated how well Penn State “recruits itself” in this age where virtually every school is on TV each week and has lots of NIL money to spend.

“How do you know the next coach will want you to sign there?” from a coach you already have rapport with and trust will be heard 10000% louder than anything the AD could ever say to a kid.

I have to hand it to Kraft…he has been very crafty (sorry) by keeping the search close to the vest, no leaks etc. I can only hope he hits a home run whoever that might be!
There is only one so called HR left on the board. What are the odds of landing him.
