I’m not really that sold on Sitake - I’m concerned about how well he could recruit in the Northeast - but if it’s him then cool. Just get it signed, announced and official. What we need is to have this settled ASAP. Since there doesn’t seem to be an actual home run hire available (short of some sort of DeBoer miracle) what’s more important is getting someone in place right away. If not Sitake and it’s Diaz or Brohm instead that’s fine. Just announce already.
Still beats someone who basically hasn’t left the state of Utah in 23 years.
EDIT- I have nothing against the guy personally. I just wonder if he’s the right fit for Penn State especially with regard to recruiting issues.

The point was if PSU football isn’t in a better place in 2-3 years than it was before the firing, Kraft needs to be fired.
He can start with Bishop Guilfoyle and their 22 year old 325 pound offensive linemen playing "class A" football beating everyone 77-0

Even with next year's schedule? That should be used as a selling point. Next year is cupcake city, but I guess the people running this thing aren't much on selling that or anything else it appears.
Diaz and Golden are a combined .530 winning percentage as HC in the Big East and ACC.
How can we judge our opponents as cupcakes when we don’t even know who will be on our roster, who are coach is, or if we’ll even have enough legit D-1 players to fill our roster? Hard to believe but we don’t win games just by putting on a Penn State uniform. We may be the cupcake for other teams’ schedules.

I just re-learned who he was a few weeks ago on here. Forgot about him already until that. I would hope they could get Diaz before him, but coaches for this thing appear to be as scarce as hen's teeth.

I know there is the portal, but Penn St won’t sign one recruit this week. If that happens, how does Kraft have a job?
When he failed on all his candidates, Krafty The Clown should have named Smith permanent HC so he could get to work on stabilizing PSU's roster and recruiting class (both HS and X-fer Portal). This would have allowed him to assess how things went in 2026 and if he didn't like the direction things were going by the end of the year, he could have hit a restart on his coaching search with much better control of the timing. I fear his ego has caused him to double-down on trying to sign an existing P4 Coach - if he was going to go this route, how he missed on Chesney (a guy who grew up just east of State College) to UCLA is rather baffling. But now he has created a situation where if PSU names Terry Smith the HC, Krafty is shown for the incompetent clown he is.... and he refuses to do what's now in the best interests of PSU because it would expose him. PSU should name Terry Smith HC now and fire Kraft poste haste.
