I see there are new brick columns going up between the ditch by highway 12and Palmeiro Center/Dudy Noble. I assume it will be a fence, but are they about to start building something behind the palmeiro center?

eventually we will be building new football coaching offices. I forgot where they said it was going to be but that sounds familiar.

MDOT is paying for a fence that will run along the perimeter of campus from there around to north entrance on 182.

well after a girl got killed at ole miss in the early 2000's, there was a law passed that forbids any parking on highways for games... incuding 82 and 182 here in starkville and hwy 6 in oxford.... and it has been pretty well enforced.... when i was here before that time, you could virtually park anywhere.... now it is limited to the on and off ramps and no further.... not sure why there would be the NEED for a very expensive brick and iron fence along the highway, but i am sure it will look nice

no I assumed he meant walking into baseball games. I don't think there is a fence between the highway and LFL. Could have overlooked it though...

So they took it down, and Doc left, and no new fence until now. It will be brick columns and blackwrought iron. It will cover the area on the backside of the baseball practice infield, football practice fields and softball fields

I am sure there must be rules about not parking on highways etc....safety issues about drunken bozos wandering into highway traffic....

But I am convinced that there is an effort being made to make it almost impossible to park remotely anywhere near the stadium without joining the bulldog club and getting into some of the designatedparking lots. Increased revenue stream. Can't complain, unless you are cheap and lazy. Just a thought.

it has nothing to do with "walking in" which threw me.

It has to do with keeping people from parking on the side of the highway.

Are we sure we want anything built by a government agency run by this guy?
