A name to look out for, among the others mentioned in this article

Gary Redus, LSU assistant coach

Shannon Labeauf deserves consideration , she was considered onof the top College WBB assistants prior to coming to Rutgers and might deserve a chance , if Zinn is going to be looking at 2nd tier candidates because of the budget she;ll be working with when hiring Quese's replacement

a google search came up with these names
AI Overview

former Rutgers players
Chelsea Newton
Khadishah Rushdah ( might not be given even a quick glance seeing she might have been let go as an assistant by Marquette. I;m not sure if she was or not)

  • Megan Duffy (Virginia Tech): Considered a strong candidate with Big Ten/East Coast ties and a track record of success.
  • Joe Bozzella (St. John's): Seen as a candidate who would show serious intent for the program.
  • Alisa Kresge (Vermont): Listed as a potential candidate.
  • Megan Griffith (Columbia): Listed as a potential candidate.
  • Vanessa Blair-Lewis (George Mason): Listed as a potential candidate.
  • Ty Grace (Howard): Listed as a potential candidate.
  • Tammi Reiss (Rhode Island): Listed as a potential candidate.
  • Carly Thibault-DuDonis (Fairfield): Listed as a potential candidate.
  • Gary Redus (LSU Assistant): Mentioned as a potential option if the administration conducts a wide-ranging search

Duffy, Kresge, Blair-Lewis, and Reiss would be my list out of the ones you listed.

Not getting Thiabault.
Why do you say they won’t get her?
She would be one of 3 that I would key on from the list above. Along with Duffy (long shot, buyout hurdle) and Reiss.
Kelli has her own list and I’m sure she will pull out all the stops.

Richie has written she is very picky and has a great administration at Fairfield. Turned Wisconsin down last year I think Richie wrote.

I don't think budget is going to be an issue; She and Tate have been true to their words so far and she is not here to get a coach to just compete she is here to WIN championships she will get whatever money is necessary

From what was reported she didn’t interview for Wisconsin for 2 reasons. She wanted to see through what she started at Fairfield and she didn’t want to return to the Midwest. We will see if she continues to turn down larger jobs.

Wait? Staley and Mulkey are out of the running? That’s disappointing. Imagine the outfits Mulkey could get away with in Jersey!?
Maybe dreams can come true , with Kim
>One name that Rutgers could call, but it would take a Hail Mary for them to actually get hired, is Kim Mulkey, the sitting head coach at LSU. Mulkey does have a connection to Rutgers staff, having worked under current university president William Tate IV and current athletic director Keli Zinn.<

Hope you're right, but I doubt the RU BOG will be willing to spend for the best .
Zinn will get a good one and will find the money for a good candidate to come , but the top candidates will want more money or years, maybe both than what the BOG will approve and RU isn't known for being a school that gets the boosters to donate what it takes to pay the freight .
I think Keli will do a good search, looking for the right fit resulting in getting a great gamble, but she isn't a miracle worker that can find the money that it takes to bring in a top talent in the WBB coaching game.

Clearly I was joking…Mulkey is a LA girl, went to school during LA Techs glory days…we would have to offer her Geno money and clear that ain’t happening.

But you'd take her , just like most others posting on the RU WBB board would and amazingly start liking her fashion style more and more as long wins go with her clothes..
But I agree , when thinking Mulkey, "Fuhgeddaboudit"

Redus would be an interesting choice
I think he'll be Keli's fallback option if after interviewing HCs from other programs and if not fully sure if they share her vision of what RU WBB should be, Redus would be her choice for the position because of their LSU connection and how she feels he'll know what she wants in a HC.
But I think Zinn will look HC experience first and find her HC from one of the HCs she interviews for the job, unless the vision on how the program should be run and how to get there isn't aligned

The last time we all went through this "who's it gonna be exercise we ended up with Coquese. What we want, and what we get are two very different things. Coquese's hiring was a major joke from the jump. Since I never heard of the LSU folks that are in charge now, I'm gonna sit back and not get stressed out.
Let's not forget we also lose most of the glued together patchwork class that Coquese threw together. So, we lose 7 bodies in total.

I wouldn’t totally be opposed to bringing Kieger on as an offensive coordinator type, if I’m a high-major looking for some offensive juice. She ran a fun and uptempo style with plenty of threes. Their problem was always a lack of any semblance of defense.
NO to Kieger. Having watched her over the years she is a miserable, unlikeable coach. JMHO.

Point out the coach on the list that has better credentials than Tami Reiss. Besides coaching she owned a nightclub, beauty salon and did personal fitness training. She also acted in a few TV shows, did modeling and was also doing commercials. Maybe we can get her to pitch for Jersey Mike's.
Let me add from an A I search:
Dawn Staley and Tammi Reiss (often spelled Tami or Tammie in some references, but commonly Tammi) played together as college teammates at the University of Virginia (UVA) Cavaliers women's basketball team.
They were backcourt partners and roommates, teaming up from 1989 to 1992. Dawn Staley arrived at UVA in 1988 (her freshman year), while Tammi Reiss played from 1989 to 1992. Their overlapping years as key starters were the 1989–90, 1990–91, and 1991–92 seasons.
During that time, they helped lead UVA to significant success, including three ACC titles, three consecutive Final Four appearances, and a run to the national championship game in one of those seasons.

We were behind the eight ball from jump street for that search.

"Kieger has been at the helm at Penn State since 2019 and has managed just one winning season since her arrival. The Nittany Lions have not made an NCAA Tournament since that time."
The lesson here re Kieger, and Coquese is STOP hiring wannabe has been types. They are not going to change their stripes.
Coquese got her millions, new hairdo, new body thanks to a good surgeon. OK, enuf of me being nasty. She is 55 and can retire very nicely, thaks Hobbs.
Expand a bit, I think I know your reasons but...

Quite catty here....so she got a haircut, so what? And what makes you think her weight loss was due to surgery vs changing her eating habits? And even if it was due to surgery, if it was health related then it was covered by insurance.

Its fine to criticize her coaching style and results, do you really need the personal insults?

Yeah definitely not as a head coach, especially in this cycle. There’s also this issue, that I don’t remember ever being resolved:
