Yeah I can't imagine Mt Airy will fall in the rankings, the #1 seed in the 1AA west seems to be on lock for them.

What's more interesting to me is who ends up higher in the adjusted rankings: Murphy or Mitchell, because right now their adjusted ranking is super super close. I'm hoping Pisgah's win over Brevard boosts Murphy's ranking enough somehow to get them ahead.

Because it's Murphy. And I feel like they have more depth than TJ, and more than anything I think that is what would hurt TJ the most imho.

I'll guarantee there are going to be some big suprisess..not necessarily with the ADMS but with the brackets. Just because your ADM is lower will not mean you will be playing little 1A this year. Enrollment statewide is down this year and you got some very small teams down east that didn't make the playoffs last year but will make them this year. The small 1A bracket will fill up very fast.

Murphy is deep, especially on the lines and in the backfield, but they're also pretty banged up right now with injuries. When three of your four best players are nursing injuries it's never a good thing.

Hopeful that two of the three will be somewhat healthy for the playoffs, the third is just going to have power through it like he has all season.

Im an Alleghany fan and Ill tell you right now I dont ever want to play smc teams. Aint no shame in it. We made it to final four in 2014 by avoiding smc teams as long as possible...then robbinsville took us to the woodshed....in fact hayesville took us to the woodshed in 1st round of 2015 or 2016 cant remember....i want to watch and have a team to pull for as long as possible so i always would rather play the tjas of the world bc we have a better shot vs them....i enjoy good football games after alleghany is eliminated...but still not near as much fun when u really dont care who wins.
