New MSU helmet ideas

some sort of maroon sides to it...
a lot of 2 colored teams trying to incorporate black, and the black isnt working well with maroon IMO.....Ive always liked the idea of us maybe going with a gray jersey with maroon somehow incorporated into it...
as far as the helmets are concerned, I love the one in the top left, and think it would look even better with the baseball logo....
can you design something like what I have described?

I love the baseball MS....that looks great on the football helmet. We should go to it as the logo in all sports. I hope that the Grasshopper might see this and get some ideas. This multiple logo **** weve been pulling for years doesnt help with branding at all. The baseball MS is our oldest and in my mind most traditional symbol we have as far as logos are concerned. Too many other schools use the M with the banner across it.
We just spent MILLIONS of dollars rebranding our stuff for a very slight change to the logo (along with adding a few new ones, including the university's letterhead). I love the block MS, too, but it has been voted down time and time again for the banner logos. The theme of the banner has been incorporated in several new logos, including "This is OUR State." I'm pretty sure that was a strong consideration for the decision. I do like that logo, though.
This is an old picture, but I'd keep things just like they are for the sake of simplicity--other than the M-state logo.<div>

I work with them on a daily basis, and we did spend a lot of money on official logos and wordmarks. get used to them. our grandkids will be wearing the current logos. We did that so we actually have something that stays constant throughout the years. The guy who did our logos was a big name too. He did Boise St logo(s) and the 75th Anniversary SEC logo (and i believe a superbowl logo as well). So, we spent top dollar to have something for years and years to come.

and the best he (the guy who did the Boise St and SEC logo) could come up with was an updated version of what we already had, a bulldog with a five oclock shadow, and Mississippi State spelled out about like it would look on a shirt that the Wal Mart T Shirt makers would produce??? We got bamboozled on that one. As far as getting used to it, I seem to remember that the last Banner M (the one with the frilly little banner wrinkle on the sides) was supposed to be the gamechanger and we moved away from it after only about 8 years. So maybe we arent stuck wtih this one for so long after all.
I actually like the banner and think a ton of these revisions look outstanding. My favorite is teh baseball logo, but the banner certainly doesn't look bad and as we mentioned we've incorporated it into marketing and everything.

Those are actually my favorite MSU uni's ever! Yea, the Jackie Nike days were cool, but I really liked those silver pants and all the classic piping. I didnt do a white facemask because im pretty sure we'll another one of those in the west soon. But im working on a moderized Adidas TechFit version of those era uni's. Gettin pretty excited about it too.
Russell came up with that Mstate banner (that was Larry's proud logo he pushed for so long). So as soon as we were close to getting out of Russell contract we paid out the a$$ for Advent Design Firm to totally re-brand us with all new athletic and academic logos and wordmarks, which could've been a whole lot better IMO (especially the Bulldog logo(s)). I'm glad they didnt leave out the cowbell in there thoughts but really wish they would've included a MSU (diagonal, block, etc...) and a "Bulldogs" logo. Oh well....
As for the helmet itself, a maroon and black carbon fiber weave design with a boiler plate texture on top of that. Then a facemask made out of titanium barbed wire. As for logo, I want a modified old walking bullie with a badass arm tattoo (something tribal of course) and smoking a cigar while riding a bull bareback one handed while flippin' the bird with the other. The bull must be castrated though, technically making it a steer. As for a center stripe, I feel it needs to be custom flames with skulls ghosted into it. I want our helmet stickers to be small nuclear mushroom clouds as well.<div>

to all but the one on the top right, far right. The baseball logo on a football helmet is the worst of them all.
to put these together....I aboutsprung onelooking at the baseball MS on the football helmet. Keep up the good work.
