It’s either rock and roll or it’s not. Must be a new band he is backing again
It may be but the way he said this makes me think he thinks the genre is coming back. I’m more curious than anything and honestly I’d like to see it. Surely rock just doesn’t disappear? Many of these guys are getting old.

What we knew as Southern Rock is alive and kicking with Whiskey Myers, Treaty Oak, Muscadine, Koe, Blackberry Smoke, Isbell when he's hammering the guitar, Cody Canada/Cross Canadian Ragweed, Red Clay Strays, Steel Woods, Turnpike, etc.

I have not been into new musics in 30 years but once in a while I hear some good stuff.

Get off my lawn!

I’m pulling for a Buckingham Nicks reunion tour. I bet that’s what he had in mind too.

check out The Toy Factory Project. A tribute band to Marshall Tucker’s Toy Caldwell. Charlie Star and Marcus King are the leads. It’s not new songs but they are good.

Not a lot of new music does much for me these days but I've eally been digging The Smile lately, which is just 40% of Radiohead with a different drummer.

Truth.

I’m looking forward to the Black Crowes & Whiskey Myers show at Brandon.

I got a ticket in the presale a couple days ago.

I’m also kind of halfway thinking of going to Lincoln for the Boys from Oklahoma show. They were great in Waco.

Would love to see those two together! I missed Cross Canadian but I've seen Cody play several times. He can shred.

Going to see Whiskey Meyers and Stoney Larue at Whiggy Thump in Anderson County this April.

Southern rock, for the most part, died in October, October of 1971 and October of 1977.

the last decent rock song was G N’ R November Rain (released in 1991). Rock has been dead 35 years. Fortunately, it lives on by geezers stumbling around on stage and cover bands.
