Last LA vs NT game I went to was a night game at NT West that LA lost. I forget the year.

What I will never forget, however, was the maniacal laughter from the beginning of Ozzy Osborne's Crazy Train song that was blasted over the speakers at Naughton Field every time NT got a first down. Total bush league.

There must have been a lot of first downs if it still haunts you.

MWittman the current reality is that lacrosse is the second most popular and prestigious sport at LA on the boys side and it is first on the girls side. I expect that to continue to be the case for the for future. The sport going IHSA is actually a step back for the sport in Illinois as previously LA played a national schedule against the top teams out east and in the midwest
Moving to the IHSA will not only subject the sport to the IHSA s general incompetence but it will create a bigger imbalance where you could see lots of schools dropping the sport because they just are not competative

Not to make this a lacrosse thread - but agreed with those points. It was well run in Illinois with separate A/B divisions and the top teams from the B level moving up. Strength of schedule was also factored in for the playoffs.

The word I'm hearing for year one of IHSA lacrosse is one large playoff bracket which puts the elite teams playing developing teams early, - that will be ugly. Also co-op teams will still be allowed for public schools, but not private.

This is terrible if true! To the IHSA: don't fix something if it's broken! IMO The system the IHSLA had worked great! I thought maybe, just maybe the IHSA would do the correct thing and keep the system that was established. Very sad!

So what is first? Hockey or football? I always thought LA hockey was pretty big, but not sure if it is now third behind Lacrosse.

Lets hope the Hockey Coach's Association never lets the IHSA in the door.

Is the IHSA going to multiply the privates by 1.65.

Co-ops for the public but not the privates?
