52-6 gentleman any way you slice it and if you want to go there they also beat So Miss PLUS we are talking about an sec team vs Sunbelt... Really?
Do you really think of Kentucky as an SEC team? We have never been a true SEC football team. We are the token minority that is allowed to be included in the club due to our basketball success and being able to "diversify" the landscape of SEC successful sports. We are like the "Rooney Rule" only being basketball vs football compared to black vs white lol.

Is KENTUCKY not a charter member of the conference? Yes, I do consider KENTUCKY an SEC team and we most certainly have played like it at times over the 40+ years I have been a fan. We are only what you consider a "token minority" because we have had former ads and supporters who only cared about basketball and didn't care about fb. It is what it is, but in 2016 Kentucky has everything in place to truly become a player in the conference... Now someone must be selected who has a vision and skill to lead the program forward and that may also include the one who is in the AD's office... I do know this... The fans are NOT the problem, we are ready!!!!!

So is UK the only SEC team in BB? That may be one of the dumbest arguments yet on this site.

When Neal Brown was here fans constantly bitched about him even though the practically had zero talent to work with.

Our fans are some of the worst.
i don't know if id say a lot of fans were criticizing him. Maybe the loud vocal minority who don't know shat from shinola. I was one of a pretty large group at that time who said about Neal what I said Dawson and what I said about Gran in the 2nd half of the Southern Miss game. These offensive guru's who've put up monster numbers everywhere they've ever coached didn't come to Kentucky and forget how to coach. CMS was meddling in the offense and there is no if ands or buts about it.

No one should insult UK football fans for anything! they've more than earned the right to ***** and complain about UK football, for supporting this dumpster fire of a program ,for the last 60 years! I've had anywhere from 14 to 2 tickets, since CWS opened! The problem is the lack of institutional support , demonstrated by having a winning % of 70% thru 1954,Bryant's last year, and 42% since! Don't get support, you don't win! Dumb hires don't help either, could have had Schnellenberger ,but didn't !

This summer I had a long conversation with someone who is a huge UK and very close to NB, and was told this very thing did take place when when Neal was of at UK...I think Les Miles just got fired at LSU for having the same philosophy offensively as MS has at UK and it will never work here either.

UK is going to get ALOT better quickly.....You saw the difference Saturday, albeit against SC, that is a veteran line! I believe Stoops finally has given in on running 3/4, still running some, but alot more 4/3 against SC. Thus a pass rush, and LB's making plays. I believe Matt House is more involved with the D now as well. Eliot is now watching the game from an air conditioned box and collecting a paycheck! If they can improve that much in 1 week.....

Neal and Dawson both wanted to play "hurry up" offense but Elliot says it doesn't give hive defense enough time to rest . So Stoops got involved .

I did tweet Stoops after SMU game and said "Please stop running 3/4" lol! I highly doubt I'm the cause for change.....but I was a bit disturbed that myself and other posters knew the problem was 3/4 but Stoops didn't? I think DC's are very stubborn and don't want to admit something they implement doesn't work.....Glad he saw the light though! They look so much better!

Some of you will believe anything anyone tells you since they have someone "close to UK". Did it ever occur to you that Neal Brown had MAC level talent that is the reason we weren't a wide open offense? I mean he had Max Smith, Jalen Whitlow and Patrick Towles at QB with a well below average O line and no playmakers on the outside and no tight end.

What did you want us to do throw it deep every play? It doesn't work that way...

Because it matters that UK has been in the sec that long. UK has some successful football history in the sec although far too little. Who died and made you the resident critic and smartass? You do know that Paul Revere didn't work alone, right?:football::football:[banana]:boxing:

Off Topic, but tweet Calipari and ask him to play some zone this year. :)

Troy 52...NMSt 6...

So your point is what? Cut to the chase...you would prefer seeing UK lose this season so Stoops gets fired. Yahoos with an agenda like you can be detected from 10 miles away.

Don't say this too loud. You will piss off the crowd who wants Stoops fired today and wanted the buy-out of his contract voided because he violated a morality clause.

The only good team consistently...yes. Kentucky contributes nothing to SEC in football. What we do do is we give the SEC a good name in college basketball being on top so often.

Who is being the yahool here? You don't know me and if you think I would ever pull for UK to lose, you sir are a dumbass, but I DO believe that MS is in way over his head and will probably need to be let go at the end of this season. I do believe from what I was told, and have seen, that he has been way too hands on with the offense and the way the game was played on Sat is the way he would like to see it played every sat, but the problem is you can't do that anymore, hell even Ala dosent do it... Les Miles just got fired at LSU for this and I watched the press conf at LSU today and the FIRST thing Oregon mentioned was installing a more spread offense to make the defense defend the entire field. In the meantime I will be in Tuscaloosa on Sat cheering like hell for the CATS, will you?

So what kind of talent does he have at Troy? ... Is it sec caliber, but yet the results are different.

Still no excuse for not being (trying to) be good over the years... It is a simple matter of "want to" by the right people... I think the fans want it badly!

Good post, if you listened to his Sunday tv program, CMS said that he "curbed" the O in the fourth quarter. The run worked but the man cannot keep from micro-managing AND it is what it is.
He is going to be fired, the when is the question.

That's the point. We are SEC in FB and BB. We're great in one and poor in the other. Are ole miss,, auburn etc, not SEC because they are bad in BB?

Is USC not SEC since we have beaten them 3 in a row?

Troy is a very experienced team where we are not in their two deep they have 13 seniors (do we have that many in our roster?) and 14 juniors in their two deep.

We in turn start 7 sophomores and two first year juco players just in defense. We have maybe four seniors who contribute on the two deep.
