at best you can encourage them not to visit other places if they are truly committed but you can't stop them.. Now less in demand guys I guess you could threaten to pull their scholly but you aren't going to do that with the 4 and 5 star type guys.He needs to strictly adhere to his policy of never, ever allowing a commit to visit another school, especially OM. If he had done so this year, he wouldn't be in the pickle in which he finds himself now. I assure you he is kicking himself for allowing a certain commit to make a visit to TSUN.
The rest will handle itself. Freeze is a good recruiter, but a lot of things fell perfectly into place for him this year.
MSU has gotten more of the recruits we've gone head to head on than Ole Miss has. I know Ole Miss really wanted Shumpert, Cox, and Jones. MSU wanted Moore, but past that I'm not sure if you offered and really pursued anyone else on our list, maybe Bouldin, but I don't think so. We might get Conner (although I know Bama feels good about him), but it wouldn't be unusual for Ole Miss to beat MSU for a player from South Panola.
So the absolute worst-case scenario for MSU is Jones flips and we get Conner: then MSU gets 2 and Ole Miss gets 3 of the 5 we really went head to head for. More than likely MSU is going to get 3 and we are going to get 1 or 2. I don't see why that would necessitate some holy war against Ole Miss and/or Freeze. Am I missing something here?
The way Ole Miss has been the last month with Chris Jones has fueled an all-time hate for that school. They have crossed the line with this one.
and assign one coach to only recruit their committs. That's his only job. To get OM kids to flip. Next time they will think twice about trying to get our #1. I'm so 17ing sick of that school.
We destroyed them three years in a row and they out recuited us every year...
