I am surprised we don't see this more often. The guy probably already made great money and can live off investments of different kinds.

I could live with something like a 1st, 3rd, and a starting WR or DL though...especially if the picks are in the first 20 of each round.
I'm sure I'll end up being disappointed though. The thing that's different about the Crosby and Parsons situations(other than parsons being a better pass-rusher while crosby is better vs the run) is Crosby's contract is through 2029 I believe, and it's pretty reasonable.

The bears and the commanders make the most sense because they're qb's are on rookie deals. I don't see how those other teams could pull that off without some voluntary salary relief from the QB's. 35.5 a year seems really steep to me for a non qb. I could totally see the patriots or the Broncos entering the fold. I mean , why not. Their team dynamics fit... with qb's on rookie deals.. talented teams ready to make the next step..

...one of the many reasons signing JJ was dumb. Vikes no where near a contendor, no QB, and over the cap.... that org is dusfunctional.
Bears need to start chopping wood... need a center , some safeties and a stud linebacker and a fat DT. They have 3 of the first 60 picks in the draft so that's a start. Let's see what Santa brings us next week.
