NFL players signally for flags on every play bugs the hell out of me.

Every time a receiver drops a pass or someone gets beat, they look at an official and signal for a flag whether there was a foul or not. On the Saints kickoff return, a coverage player for the Raiders got planted on his *** with a hard, but legal block, and was pissed because he didn't get a flag called. Players signalling incompletions bugs me, too. Let the damn officials do their jobs. They are standing still watching everything happen. If there is question, there will be a challenge... but you look stupid when a receiver makes a good catch and is clearly in bounds and a defender is complaining because he thought he was out of bounds or wants a flag for something.

Rant over.

Problem is, it works. I've seen several occasions where the flag came after the player asked for it. Might've been thrown anyway, but I don't think so. And they do it in college too.

The Kobe Bryant Arm Flail is pretty obnoxious, too, I must admit. And you are right... and the sad thing is, I've seen Kobe throw his arms up in the middle of a play like he got fouled, wasn't touched at all, and still got the call.

Carmello did the arm flail Friday night against the Grizzlies, didn't get the call, dropped an F-bomb, and was T-ed up. Quite funny.
