I haven't seen a single thread on here about any of the NFL moves from the last few weeks, so what do you guys think about the off-season so far as it relates to your teams?

As a Niners fan, I'm ecstatic so far. Unloading Alex Smith and his $8M cap hit for an essential 1st rd pick(ok, 1st pick in the 2nd round) and solid pick next year was excellent. Then they snag Anquan Boldin yesterday for a 6th rounder, and they still have 14 picks left in this year's draft. Great moves so far, and I feel like we're getting close to seeing some solid veterans(Ed Reed maybe?) jump on the San Fran ship in order to try to get another ring before their careers are over. Also, speaking of Boldin, the team hasn't had a solid possession receiver since TO, so even though he may not be what he once was, I'm really happy about this pickup. Boldin, Crabtree, and Davis will already be a deadly combo and if San Fran can pick up a burner to stretch the field, look out. Maybe AJ Jenkins will be able to step up.

Lastly, for those trying to justify Flacco's absurd contract from a couple weeks ago, well... The Ravens have now had to let Boldin go and all signs point to Reed walking too. These are the types of things that happen when you tie up 25% of your cap in one player and even worse for Baltimore is the fact that Flacco is not an elite player. Mark my words that his contract will be one of the biggest albatrosses in the NFL in a couple years.

Boldin isn't what he used to be because he doesn't have Larry Fitzgerald on the other side. Those two were a terrific tandem and I was pretty sad to see them split up. That said, Boldin had enough in the tank to be pretty clutch in that Super Bowl win. This is a huge get for the 49ers and it cost them relatively nothing.

Sounds more and more like my Fins are going to end up with Mike Wallace. I still hope they add another WR (Cordarrell Patterson, Greg Jennings, or Jarred Cook). Wallace is a burner though, can certainly stretch the field.

As a Fins fan, what are your thoughts on Tannehill? Is he going to be able to step up to the challenge with the right weapons around him?

I think he'll be a guy that ends up throwing for 3,800 yards or so. I doubt he starts pushing that 4,300-4,500 no matter who they have around him. The best he'll ever be is Matt Schaub.

The Ravens should of just figured out a different way to get Flacco his money. They did just make a fortune from him winning the SB so he deserves a nice chunk of it. It's what happens when you win a SB as a QB. You get paid.

I remember his rookie season well

I was the lucky guy who picked him up as a free agent in my fantasy league after he had an insane first game of the season and his career. Something like 10 catches and 200 yards if I remember correctly. Anyhow my point was that Boldin lacked the dynamic counterpart in Baltimore that he had for most of his stay in Arizona.

Saints are dealing with it too because of Brees' contract. They let Chase Daniels go and I heard on the way home that Bushrod has agreed to a long term deal with Da Bears. That really suck because it'll be the second year in a row we've lost a good LT. Hopefully Graham doesn't hold out...
