I don't really get this ad...I guess it could be construed as a veiled shot at Ole Miss, but I don't understand pointing out how well USM is doing even if it is in CUSA. We compete with them for resources and players (sometimes).

I guess though it shows that they don't really threaten us, as a CUSA championship isn't really worth a lot at the end of the day.

I like it. Its courteous. Its kind. Its lumping Mississippi Southern with Delta State and EMCC.

it's like the big brother wishing the little brothers good luck. it's a move to distinguish us as not on the same level as them. and it's a passive swipe at the bears.

yeah, it's way more of a big brother patting a 3 year old little brother on the head. "wow, way to stay within the lines with your crayons!"

Props to Striklin, et al.
It is effectively the opposite strategy of the elitist, 50%-out-of-state pricks at Olemiss.

Olemiss runsBear ads on TV during the MSU games and in the Starkville Daily News about how great Olemissis. What a bunch of smug turds. I bet they think that is real clever. Meanwhile Striklin and company are reaching out to the otheruniversities within our state. Somwhere Col. Reb is crying.

Why shouldn't someone from USM, DSU, Millsaps,JSU, EMCC,etc....cheer for MSU too? Attendfootball games, get comfortable with MSU, associate with a winner,etc....

Good strategy.
