Yes, good win tonight

And we cannot lose our fifth straight series this weekend

I would love to start trying him out of the bullpen. I know this is just one outing tonight, but it has to be huge for his confidence. Maybe we'll see him some in relief this weekend. He's got really good stuff when he's on.

I will start worrying if we lose this series

Florida is not as good as the past few years, we have to win 2 of 3.

I'm fully expecting Lindgren to be held out this weekend...so why not start Woodruff on Sunday?

My ideal scenario here is to start him Sunday, Lindgren in the Gov Cup, then Woodruff on Friday @ aTm, and Lindgren on Sunday. May be excessive depending on how many pitches are thrown in those sessions...

Woodruff would be a big risk starting on Sunda, IMO. The problem is, however, he has done his best pitching in a starting role in the past, but certainly not this year (with tonight being the only exception). I know the question will be "who will we start instead" when I say this, but I'd cautiously work him into a relief role before I put him in a starting role. Maybe an SEC start will do the trick with him and he'll come out on fire like tonight (some pitchers work best with a fire under their *** like that), but I just don't think I'd trust Woody to try to set the tone of an SEC game just yet... especially one that could be critical for our momentum.

How many pitches did Woody throw tonight? That's interesting. I don't think you'll see Woody in the weekend rotation until the A&M or Auburn series.

Who do you trust more?

I saw enough tonight to regain my confidence in him. That's literally the best non-Graveman or Lindgren start we've had in 4 weeks...Let that sink in...

He threw 68 pitches tonight. 45 strikes. Sunday is 5 days rest on that...

IMO we either see Lindgren Sunday and Woodruff Tuesday or Woodruff Sunday and Lindgren Tuesday... if Lindgren can go...

I completely understand, that's why I asked "who would we start OVER him?" He had a good outing, but if I were Cohen or Thompson, I'd still want to give him one more outing to earn his "SEC Starting Stripes." I want him to start because he can be a beast. I don't think starting Ross is the best idea because he's done his best pitching in relief. Same with Pollo, and certainly Holder or Bracewell (those guys need to close and only close. starting them would be disastrous).

Do you perhaps buy yourself a game with Evan one more time to give Woody a chance to get one more game under his belt (OM, maybe?) and hope Evan has a solid outing (which he's had this year), or do you start Woody, who's had rough starts up until tonight? To be honest, the basic question I'd be asking myself is who has the least likely chance of blowing a start? Both of them have... but Woody would be a fresh look to our rotation and the payoff could be huge. It's a tough decision, to be honest.

Woodruff had a very solid outing earlier in the year against Grambling as well... so he's had 2 excellent outings...

Mitchell has had a couple "ok" outings but has had control issues in every single one of them...

I do not trust Mitchell on any level whatsoever right now...

In 32 games:
We've given up 206 hits thusfar this year -- good for an opponent batting avg of .204
We've given up 119 walks and 39hbp thusfar this year. That's pace for 318 walks and 78hbp

Last year, in 64 games(exactly double):
We gave up 517 hits -- good for an opponent batting avg of .240
We gave up 181 walks and 55hbp total

Our pitching is unhittable -- we just aren't throwing strikes...

If it's me, and Lindgren is healthy- I start him Sunday. If not, I probably would go with Ross Mitchell but strongly consider Woodruff and Will Cox. I am optimistic about Lindgren pitching Sunday.

Why not just pitch Pollo Tuesday. Get Lindgren, Graveman, and Woodruff going already in the rotation.

I'm pretty sure pollo is going to have to throw Friday with lindgren still sidelined. I wouldn't mind seeing woody throw 3 or 4 Sunday and be piggybacked with Ross. Then throw Johnny whole staff against the Rebs and get back to a lindgren gravemen woodruff rotation for a and m.

Huge win over a good mid-week ball club...

I do hate that we had the muffed punt by the middle infielder in 7th period...allowed 2 goals. Gotta cut out the mistakes.

I was able to drive over for the game...first time over that way since we played there in 2001. They've done nice things with that ball park.
