Where would Rutgers football be in this NIL era if Sonny Werblin was still around?

Joe Namath comes here instead of Alabama? 😐
Namath wasn’t much of a student (played three sports at a high level so he was busy year-round) and the schools in the northeast really weren’t interested after Maryland was forced to deny him admission due to his board scores.
Seems to me that he was the prototype for the modern QB…big, strong, mobile, almost infinite arm strength. Love how the Jets short-passed their way to the Super Bowl win. Game plan was a work of art.

Big? Maybe mobile at the beginning but he started having knee problems at Alabama. Or are you just busting chops?

He would be turning 114 years old in 2 months.
What exact impact would he potentially be having?

Rutgers beat Cincinnati after beating Louisville in 2006. . .
Tom Savage stayed and developed in to the greatest QB in Rutgers history. . .. stay with me here. . .in the "modern" era, only RU QBs to see playing time in the NFL are Ray Lucas and Tom Savage. Teel was on an NFL roster for a couple of years.

NASL would have been at Rutgers Stadium instead of Giants Stadium?😐

Expansion obviously happens much sooner. B1G obviously happens much sooner. Profit.😐
