Feb 3rd football players going to the next level can sign their National Letter Intent. Is there any place that tracks what players from Virginia and/or SWVA will sign where? I know that the 757 has their own recruiting site that list players in their area but the rest of the state seems to be lacking.

Last week there was a lot of discussion on who should or should not be on the different post season award teams but the real question is who is going to play at the next level.

Hokiesports.com always has a live deal that shows LOIs received by VT.

if a player goes anywhere but VT or Alabama, I could care less.

Actually, Rivals is pretty quick on posting commitments, as long as you think 24 hours is sufficient.

I just hope I don't see another rash of players over the next few months claiming to have signed a LOI and having a press conference when they are just a preferred walk on. That is the epitomy of bogus to me but it happens every year.

If you're just looking for a particular player, the school's twitter feed is the best source. Rivals would be a good source for all things recruiting. Salem will have a signing presentation at 12:00. Brewski, your son is Brewster of Pulaski Co correct? I think you said he had chosen VMI? Good luck to him, hopefully he and the 4 Spartans there, will make some noise over the next few years and help turn the Keydets' program around!

Yes he is and yes he will sign for VMI tomorrow. I was just curious who else in the area was going to sign.

I know a guy whose been emailing almost every coach in the state for the last month and gathering just such information.

He will also be updating it through the next month as more and more kids find their college homes.

Here's the list that he's put together so far...

Great list Rob!! It is very interesting to who is going where. Surprised that some names are not on the list. Really surprised that no one from Salem near Roanoke is not on that list.

There are at least 3 from Salem that will play at the next level, but I don't think any of them will be at the FBS/FCS level. Braxton Wall, Dallas Herndon, and Donte Clayborne. I'm not sure what happened to Alex Ramsey, he was supposed to have a deal as well.

That might be because a) the players haven't committed yet or b) the coaches have not responded to my requests

3 from Salem today: Braxton Wall, Washington & Lee D3, Dallas Herndon, Christopher Newport D3, Donte Clayborne, Bluefield College NAIA.

No word on Alex Ramsey, had been recruited by Towson University. Good luck to all of these guys in their future endeavors!

From Salem: Ponton, Ramsey, and Close are talking to various programs. They are all looking to play at the next level.

I knew there were others that didn't sign today. I'm happy for them all and wish them well. I'm glad there are others who will have a shot at the next level. I'm looking forward to seeing some of these guys play on TV on Saturdays.
