Just in the off chance anybody here owns or works for a business in or near one of the locations below that might be interested in sponsoring one of our Skycams, please let DM me here or email me at [email protected].

While we are partners with Matt and his new MS Live Weather venture, we're also pulling from the same pool of sponsors and it's not much of a competition. We're looking at possibly gaining permission for several other sites here in the next few weeks, but don't have the funds to cover all of them. Our goal is a statewide network of cameras. This past March, our cameras in Rolling Fork and Amory provided the video evidence to give two storms tornado warnings that weren't warned at the time.

Our business sponsors get their logo on the live video feed of their camera for our website, app (android only currently), and the WeatherWise app. Your logo is also a link back to your business's website. We also tag your business whenever we use an image or video from that camera on our social media. So if your business wants to sponsor one or more of the cameras below, please let us know. They have proven to be a valuable tool and that will only increase as we get more cameras up and operational.

I just subscribed to the YouTube channel. It has been great to see this camera network take off.

Appreciate it. We're trying to get that channel big enough to monetize it, too. Trying to find a dollar where ever we can. Il also add for everybody that we're a registered nonprofit so any individual donations are 100% tax deductible. Not sure if business sponsorships are or not. I'm far from a tax expert.

I plan to make my Fall donation. Where is the best place to go, and where can we find more information? I think the channel is an excellent starting point for you guys.

Would love to have one on or near campus. Just a challenge of finding a spot. Has to be a location high enough to offer a good view without obstructions and be able to tie into internet via an Ethernet cable.

There should not be more than one on both the MSU and Oxford campuses?

The most obvious spot on the msu campus would be on top of Davis Wade, but somebody had told me the athletic dept wouldn't be too keen on that scared it would be spun around to look in on practice or watching a game. But we'd love to have one on top of the scoreboard if they'd let us and we could get internet access to it. I saw Spann got one on Bryant Denny last week.

That Tuscaloosa F4 going right by the stadium may have had something to do with that.

Chapel Bell Tower, top of The Lofts in LFL (may not be tall enough) , maybe contact Mike Brown on campus for some assistance

We like to be between 150-275ft in height. I emailed Mike last year about possibly partnering with MSU and never got a reply back.

For our readers in the southern part of the state, we have now secured a spot in Hattiesburg if anybody has a business down there that would want to be a sponsor.

To add a humble plea, it costs a lot of money (to a small nonprofit) to install and maintain these cameras, and we depend solely on donations and sponsorships to make it happen. In fact, after we install this one in Hattiesburg, we're at an install pause pending more money coming in.
