Does he? He’s here for his 3rd year and his signature moment came late last year when he pinned a kid after trailing by a ton. Have not seen anything to be encouraged about.

Turley, not lookin so good. Seems to be content with that wild run to AA. Maybe it's his first match back, but he should have looked better than that

Heart attack this year as a freshman but you can already tell he’s going to be an elite wrestler at some point. No fear whatsoever against a returning NQ

Keep in mind that Feldkamp is also a 6th year senior and a NQ…Soldano manhandled him.
How can you deduce he is content and resting on an AA from a year and a half ago, then an injured shoulder which resulted in surgery..all in his first match back???
Same as high school. He lived on the edge sometimes but easily could overcome any mistakes in HS. Reminds me of Turley's high school tapes. College will be a wild ride when Soldano goes against better competition.
NQ at 197 too. That opponent checks all the boxes for a real tough 1st test for a true freshman. You’d like him to clean up a little bit but it’ll take some time to learn the difference between wrestling u18s in high school and wrestling grown *** men at this level.
I'd guess saving him for ASU tomorrow. I didn't expect him and Turley tonight or tomorrow against Sacred Heart.
He's wrestled this style his entire life. Get used to it because it isn't changing. He goes for it in every position.
My guess is this lineup tonight is will be what we wrestling vs ASU aside from Janzer. I would assume we see primarily backups vs SHU. Shawver will definitely get one match tomorrow and I’d expect we see Britton, DeSantis, Epperly, and most of the true freshmen vs SHU

Oh no doubt. And he should continue to do so as that what makes him great. But he’s going to have to fine tune some things like cleaning up that inside trip
Turley is a momentum guy. He always starts slow but once he's in season shape and in flow, he's abusive. Can't wait till he gets that fire back. I'm sure it will happen.

I wanted more bonus points. Agree that this is a good opening match and certainly better than the D3 matches.
I dont think there is any chance Poz wrestles against ASU...They are going to see Soldano as much as they can early. I have thought from the beginning Poz is redshirting and Soldano will be the guy this year.
I can’t see it because that means Soldano would have to redshirt unless someone is bumping up
Yeah I agree. You get 5 dates for freshmen, not 5 matches, so giving Soldano both matches tomorrow gets him an extra data point to work with.
I hear ya but it sure sounds like Poz doesn't really want to redshirt.
Boone looks much more active. No forearms on knees and moving in the 3rd.
Boone looks sharp. By this point last season he was leaning on his knees, not going for shots. That high crotch was clean.
Just my opinion, Poz might not be the one making the decision. If Poz was clearly better, Soldano would redshirt. I really think Soldano must be really impressing in the room and if he does well in his 5 events, he will be the guy.
I concur they don't even have the lower level close to being filled. Not sure why that program gets priority when they draw flies. What a joke of a decision by Hobbs.
