Worth noting with Shawver wrestling SHU his redshirt is off the table this year

Really hope they can make this Peterson/Shawver thing work out this year and the future. Would hate to lose either one of them.
They both still got RS to use and Heilman stated this would be his last year so one of them could go 133 in the future..

Yeah, well they wrestle each other all the time in practice. Matches against other opponents and how they produce in matches are what matters. That's where we see Clark fade all the time, where DeSantis keeps coming.
The guy Clark beat Elfvin(Clarion) beat Kannaird last year 7-3, the guy DeSantis just beat absolutely sucks.

Peterson redshirted last season. Shawver has a redshirt left. One of them will not be a starter this year
I feel like Peterson has more upside to AA.. we kinda know what we are getting w/ Shawver.. solid.. qualifier w/ outside chance to AA unless he improved a lot and to jump levels is very hard to do in d1.. Shawver should just RS this year and then one of them can go 133 next year would make most sense…. If he really wanna wrestle this year then yeah he will risk wasting a year not starting.

True on Peterson, but Shawver has continued to get better IMO. He just took Pat Glory to the edge and should have gotten the W. That goes for both of the guys though.

But yes, would rather see him take a redshirt so that we could have both he and DP at 125/33.

I agree with your assessment on the both of them. Unfortunately it’s a lot easier to transfer these days in collegiate sports. I guarantee you a school in Pa would die to have either one of them for the 2nd half of the year. I would love to keep them both!

Heilman being taken apart. Top 5 kid but it's 6-1 with riding time going into the 3rd.

My goodness Alvarez on two shots can't finish and Vasguez gets two on blast double at the end of the period.

I agree but whoever doesn’t start this year only has to wait till next year to start 125/33.. vs some other transfers not knowing when they will ever start(Dean-Beard) also… why did Shawver get start over Peterson today? Feels like Peterson woulda had better shot to get that dub

Headgear throw...absurd
What's absurd about it? I'm sure every coach he's had since he was 5 has told him that it's an automatic team point deduction, just like stepping on the mat without your straps up.

Really liking Clark at 157. He was pretty tough at 165 even though he didn’t win much. Glad to see him having some early success at this weight
