Good line.
Try mine:
Nowell, Nowell, born the king of KissMyTail!
Nowell had 27 points, NINE assists to rescue Kansas State from losing to Kentucky, which had Goliath Oscar Tshiebwe, who deserted WVU in mid-season last year for Kentucky.
Oscar was awesome, too, with 25 points and 18 rebounds.
Nowell is only 5-8 and weights 150 pounds, which is MY height and weight! Oscar is 6-foot-9 and weighs 260 pounds. I think Nowell comes up to Oscar’s belly button, or so it seems.
But Nowell, the David who slew Goliath, just like in the Bible’s 1 Samuel 17, was such a team player, sharing the ball (9 assists, remember?) so that teammates Johnson had 13 points, Tomlin 12 and Sills 12.
Kentucky got 21 from Wallace and 11 from Livingston. But Kansas State did a better job of passing and putting Nowell in charge of driving Kentucky out of March Madness.
Nowell is the Marquis of Kingsburying!
Kansas State missed its first THIRTEEN 3s but later in the game went 5-for-8 mainly because little Nowell came up big with 3 of Kansas State’s 5 3s for the game and made 10 of 11 free throws (his team was 18-22, too!).
That means the Big 12 has 2 in the Sweet Sixteen (Kansas State and Texas) with 3 seed Baylor facing 6 seed Creighton and 6 seed TCU having the burden of facing 3 seed Gonzaga later today.
4 Big 12 in Sweet Sixteen? Wouldn’t that be Sweet?
