This is probably correct. They probably gave about 10,000 away.
This. I think there will be between 30K and 35K actual butts in the seats.Everyone knows the Sellout announcements are complete BS
Rutgers dumps thousands of tickets to 3rd Party Ticket Seller websites. They now consider these tickets “sold” when they actually are not. And this does not even take into account tickets donated to organizations, staff, youth programs, etc. which are not even used.
I think a actual crowd of 30,000 would be very respectable for a Sunday on Labor Day weekend.
Not miserable, just stating facts. Blocks of tickets being given away, not being "sold". Is that a sellout? The season hasn't started and Rutgers fans already acting miserable. Classic.
SH is a reseller. The point is you can’t get tickets from RU.I can get two tickets in 207 ( 50-yard line) row 3 for $26 apiece on SH. That's just one of dozens of sections with seats available. How is that a sellout ?
And for those of us who are in the stadium for special teams and the full warmup.I doubt there will be 20,000 fans in the stadium 15 minutes prior to the start of the game.Fans have a long history of entering the stadium late and leaving early.Winning games might be the only way to change the status quo.
100%. It drives me crazy. And for those of us who are in the stadium for special teams and the full warmup.
We obsess over the stadium being empty, the players running out of the tunnel for opening kickoff with the place half empty, and keep getting up to check the entrance gates to see where the F’k everyone is.
Invariably, we are all fairly pleased with the final attendance by the end of the 1st quarter
And always will…. Louisville 2006 being the first exception, the atmosphere prior to the alma mater and opening kickoff was so electric it made me openly weep with emotion.100%. It drives me crazy.
Tickets sold != game attendance
You can sell all the available tickets, but not have the stadium full
I'm not even leaving home for another 15 minutes lol. The game is at noon and most people won't be in their seats until midway through the first quarterLots are dead..wow
I think that's safe to say. But given how bad the team has been for years I'd say we get decent turnouts, at least early in the season. Other programs get complete desolation.I doubt there will be 20,000 fans in the stadium 15 minutes prior to the start of the game.Fans have a long history of entering the stadium late and leaving early.Winning games might be the only way to change the status quo.
You were saying???We very rarely fire the cannon. Waste of space. It’s gotten so bad they should fire it when we get first downs. Or instead, let’s put a mini-circus in that corner with pygmy hippos, a guy on stilts riding a unicycle, the lady who spins plates at the basketball games and Fieldhouse Al thumb wrestling against himself. We’d get twice the turnout that we usually do because those activities are more far more interesting than Schiano offense.
F those wannabe CFB clowns.Funny. When people post pictures of BC or UConn with an empty stadium at kick off I’ve never seen anyone respond “Ya but what’s the tickets sold and announced game attendence! Can’t mock them based on actual people at the game.”
I’ll have to pay closer attention next time.
Lower bowl is pretty filled up. Upper is less than half. But better than I was expecting. And pretty much all Rutgers fans… pitiful showing of NW fansLooks full on tv
It's an away game after all, for a team in disarray.Lower bowl is pretty filled up. Upper is less than half. But better than I was expecting. And pretty much all Rutgers fans… pitiful showing of NW fans
