And for those of us who are in the stadium for special teams and the full warmup.
We obsess over the stadium being empty, the players running out of the tunnel for opening kickoff with the place half empty, and keep getting up to check the entrance gates to see where the F’k everyone is.

Invariably, we are all fairly pleased with the final attendance by the end of the 1st quarter
If they could figure out the east side entrance to speed that up, they're would be a lot more people there when they enter from the tunnel

our ticket office is always suckers with this…the sellouts they announced the last two years were laughable..

upper deck won’t be full
tickets sold and given away make that claim valid.
But it's the seats being filled during the game that should be the attendance announced.
Rutgers won today, that's what counts for me and any complaonts about attendance can wait till tomorrow😇 ( for me not anyone else )

Temple game next week is another good one. 7:30pm Saturday kickoff should make for prime conditions to attend the game. No extreme heat and sun will be a major blessing
This.
And a few showers should not scare any real fan away.

Hot one out there today. Good fans turned out and stayed as long as they could. Tough conditions for anyone - especially those with children or any conditions .

Thankful for the 7:30pm kick next week after sitting in the sun for this one.

Decent crowd but only felt like it peaked from 7min into first qtr to half time. Emptied out after that . Upper deck at best was 30% used. Not sure about those 50% estimates

We brought cool towels, worked great. But even for us shrouded in cool towels and about 10 empty water bottles midway through the 4th quarter enough was enough.

What is the section to the right of the student section? That section always blows and did again today. Basically, the only section in the lower bowl that has never filled up.
Actually, it filled up almost entirely prior to halftime. Though many left with the masses in the searing heat. We lasted until the end of the 3rd quarter. That 7:30 kick is going to be clutch on Saturday.

Really, they were busy at 9:45 when we went through blue and yellow. Maybe just your tailgate?
We are in purple and drove by mainly empty blue at 920 and virtially empty purple

Definitely filled up but in past years seemed like peeps got tgeir earlier

I hope we get close to 50k actually in the stands on Saturday for Temple. What more could you want? A local opponent, nighttime game, family friendly day, no sun/heat beating down, and a game we can and should win lol

A part of it is Northwestern sucks, they brought maybe 200 fans if that. The Big Ten makes home teams make up to 3,000 seats available for away fans, those that aren’t used get given back to the home box office, those are the ones that become giveaways. Mostly the upper corners of the west upper deck (facing the R). NW has 0 fan support even at home, smallest stadium already and then with tarps over parts of their stands, then still empty

Everything from Sections 132-143 is technically students. There are over 11K seats in there, making it one of the bigger student sections in the country, when full. 131 and 144 used to be Young Alumni sections, but I believe they’re both open to general STHs as well now. The student section fills from bottom to top in 136-139 first, and then to the left. It’s always been that way. During the day, the videoboard does shield that side from the sun a bit more, but just a guess.

I hate to spoil all this great negativity!
I know you are all disappointed by the game!
But, it was a pretty big crowd yesterday. I could tell by the long lines.

There you go, it’s a Negatoid twofer!!
