Here is what I gleaned from reading various reports from fans/people on the webz.\

QB - Relf is improved, Russell is hot and cold, Favre looked good.
RB - Perk looks good, Conner looks slow, nobody really standing out - I wouldnt worry much about this until they put the pads on and start hitting, but I am excited about Perkins this year.
WR - Bump and Berry are solidified as starters and it will be more of the same this year. Looks like the freshmen and the emergence of Heavens have us enjoying a little depth. Glowing reports re: Tubby Lewis. Positive reports re: Arceto Clark, Ricco Sanders, Chris Smith, Heavens. Mixed reports on Carr. Apparently he was a little aloof out there and not very sharp on his routes. There should be a lot of room for improvement from him.
TE/OL/DL - status quo - everything looks good here. Looks like Devin Jones and Carmon are really pushing Cox and Boyd - that is nothing but good news. Sounds like we are still waiting for someone to step up opposite McPhee.
LB - not much said other than the freshmen look like they will be players down the line.
DB - interesting rotation developing at CB, particularly between Broomfield and Langston opposite Banks - another nice problem to have. Matt Wells looks good at S.

does that mean running the option or throwing the ball?

If the latter....was he throwing it in the pocket and deep or was it more like watching a slightly more successful version of Tyson Lee with short passes and rolling out to see receivers.

But "the word" was that he was throwing some pretty deep balls but had a little more trouble with the short/intermediate routes.
