Does anyone know the specific injury and severity of injury for Noah? I’m sure it’s a sprained ankle but I just wanted to know the official word.

As I see it, when we have a full complement of players, he won’t be logging major minutes. Maybe 5-8 per game.

Maybe, maybe not. Noah isn’t hitting shots right now because he’s taking poor ones, for the most part. This is happening because our main penetrator (Lowe) isn’t playing. Lowe’s presence should change a lot of things offensively. My guess is you will start seeing everyone’s % go up, not just Trent’s. Having said that, his defense leaves a lot to be desired.

If you look at our FT %, it doesn't appear like our shooting numbers are just going to magically improve. We don't appear to have a lot of shot makers.

I didn’t say they would magically improve. I said they would improve as a result of adding a guard who can break down a defense better than anyone who is currently playing.

The FT % is negatively skewed by Moreno. He’s 2-10 through 3 games. If you take him out we are 42/60 (70%). Not great but not terrible. I do agree though that Moreno MUST improve or he cannot be left in close games late. The whole team must improve at the line, but it isn’t some insurmountable task. It’s just repetition.

From what I saw he’s good to go. Held out for precautionary reasons. Haven’t looked today though.

Gonna disagree with this. Noah is going to be a hella player this year and 5 is too low. 8? Don’t know. But I know as soon as this team gets used to each other on the offensive end, Aberdeen and Lowe are going to open up so much for Noah. We will see a few games where Noah hits 4-6 threes. Can’t stress enough how much different this offense will look when you’ve got your PG who can break down a defense.

You're certainly insinuating it will likely improve some measurable amount due to Lowe's return. However, the stats show we just aren't a great shooting team, even on paper, even worse in reality. And Lowe doesn't have a great track record of being a great shooter, particularly when on a team with a lot of other non shooters. Nor do his former teams seem to have been great shooting teams.

Simply removing Moreno isn’t going to make that 70% accurate. Tbose fouls likely still occur, even if it was Garrison, Diabeta or JQ. Are they going to be dramatically better at the line?

Doubt Noah plays a ton if at all in the next one. Looked like a pretty good sprain.

I agree. Noah is a lot better than he’s looked. I fully expect a better version of what he was last year once Lowe is back and Noah is back in his natural position.

Lowe does have a good track record with his FT percentage despite his poor FG% numbers. 87.7% over his two seasons of College Basketball. Would (hopefully) seem to indicate his shot isn't busted and is capable of improvement.

At the game last night he was rubbing cuts and shooting around at halftime and looked fine. I think we got up so quick to start the 2nd half, there was no reason to put him back in. But I’m not a scout

Possibly, but he's been a pretty bad 3pt shooter throughout his career. Does it magically improve now? Particularly if we are expecting him to shoulder the load?

Lol, you mean 35%? If you have to inflate it by 5%, it's probably because it's not a very good number.
I heard 40% but I'm sorry if I was wrong. (but 35% is still not poor)

If you are aware of my history of posting you'd know I wouldn't intentionally state a wrong percentage.
If you are not aware of my posting history, then what basis do you have for accusing me of being dishonest like that?

I was just trying to discuss basketball. I am NOT interested in exchanging insults with you.

Lol, you heard? You didn't bother to check if what you heard was correct?

35% isn't good. It's avg to below avg. Then he followed that up with an abysmal year. For his career, he doesn't even crack 30%.

I don't know you from Adam. However, I do know you're on a computer or mobile device that allows you to verify what you're posting.

It's been well-documented that Lowe had to try to be the man on a bad team and took a lot of really bad shots at Pitt. He won't have to or be allowed to here.

I told you I didn't want to get into an insult fest with you. No need to respond to any more of my posts since I just put you on ignore.

In other words, you don't like people calling out your bs?

Where is this well documented other than on here?

If he struggles with playing with other bad shooters, so far, things aren't looking much better for him here.
