We've reached the point of the offseason where we congratulate and make a spectacle on working out aka doing the job they are paid to do. This is the real world. When you sign on to be an employee, there are expectations and it's up to the employee to meet them. Trent Noah is a good player. He's going to be a good player at Kentucky or elsewhere, but this is what the overwhelming majority of athletes do in the offseason. Doesn't matter if it's April or May or June, etc....
Maybe Pilgrim is truly unaware that even mediocre HS players work hard in the offseason, so he shouldn't be surprised that a D1 Power Conference athlete is working hard and if he is, that's on him.
