Lance Pogue? I mean can it be that hard to coach up the WRs. Will the WRs coach at UF be looking for a job now?

Why Florida's WR coach though? If I'm correct, I don't think it's the same guy that worked with Mullen, and to be honest, Florida's passing game hasn't been anything special. Their RB's, QB (rushing), and slot receiver/RB hybrids do 99.9% of their offense.

He was just named HC at West Alabama, but might be interested in taking a passing game coordinator job in the SEC. Plus, might help with Madison area kids. Also, he was Coach Hud's "Heisman winner" a handful of years back:<div>

Hall, 30, has established himself as a great talent in the three seasons in which he has guided the Tiger offense. In the 2009 run to the NCAA Playoffs, his unit was ranked third in the Gulf South Conference and 21st in the nation, and UWA finished this past season with the 17th-best offense in the land with an aerial attack that finished 10th as Hall’s group averaged over 300 passing yards per game.</p>

“I knew when I was 4 years old what I wanted to do with my life,” said Hall at Wednesday’s press conference. “It’s been a goal of mine to stand before you today, and I feel like I’m ready for this.</p>

“As a program we’re close. We lost four games by nine points, and we’ve got to make up those four points. And to do that, we’re going to run the best program we can possibly run all the time.”</p>

Before joining the UWA staff, Hall spent a season at the University of Arkansas at Monticello where he mentored the 2007 GSC Freshman of the Year Scott Buisson and guided the UAM rushing offense to the top of the GSC charts.</p>

“I can promise you that Will Hall has passion,” UWA Director of Athletics Dr. E.J. Brophy said at the press conference. “He has passion for football, passion for his family, passion for this wonderful university, and it’s contagious. And it is appreciated.”</p>

</p>

Prior to his stint at Monticello, Hall served as offensive coordinator at Southwest Baptist University in 2006, and led SBU to 23rd nationally in total offense and 15th in rushing yards per game in Division II. Hall also spent time on the coaching staffs at Presbyterian College (S.C.) and Henderson State.</p>

A Harlon Hill Trophy winner, the Amory, Miss. native had a tremendous collegiate playing career at the University of North Alabama. He won the award given to Division II football’s best player in 2003 as he quarterbacked the NCAA quarterfinalists to a 13-1 record, and his efforts garnered him All-American accolades from the Associated Press and numerous other organizations as he set 16 UNA records during his two years in Florence. He continues to hold the program marks for completion percentage in a career (68.0) and a season (71.8), and his impressive string of 168 pass attempts without an interception remains tops at UNA as well.</p>

I would like to hire somebody that could make a significant difference in recruiting for our MS kids. Possibly a former player with good connections throughout the state.

I do think he'll be an outstanding coach one day and that would be an interesting situation none-the-less. Just don't see that happening. </p>

Someone in the know said Moulds wasn't much of a leader (ie: helping younger players) when he played here. Surely he's more mature now. But maybe he isn't the leader type.

However, I bet there are some capable candidates from Meyer's staff...most of whom have worked with Mullen/the offensive scheme.

Was the WR coach at Florida under Mullen. He's now the passing game coordinator at Ellis Yeaux and would be a great option. He and Dan are pretty good friends but don't know if we had enough funds to lure him away.

And Will is headed somewhere very, very soon. He would be an excellent addition as the WR coach. He's an extremely talented coach, and he would be an asset to Mississippi State.

He coached WRs during some of the most successful seasons a Auburn and is already on staff. Move him over and find a running backs coach thats a pretty good recruiter.

trust me, its not as big a void as you think. as a former walk on wr, i can tell you that coach mullen determines how and what the wr's are taught. not to say coach hud isnt a good coach, he is very well liked by the team, he works the wr's and wont let them cheat themselves, but its just a matter of bringing in another coach that is going to hold his players accountable, as far as how they are coached, the man that determines that is still here. but also there is the recruiting aspect of it and i can comment on coach hud as far as that goes. so i guess the main thing will be to find a good recruiter to place here. mullen will make sure they are developed.

Move Knox to WR where he's been most of his career. Drayton is w/ Florida now and the new guy will probably have his own staff. Drayton would know Mullen's system, know the Florida recruiting grounds, and is familiar with MSU/Mississippi as well as he was on staff with Croom.<div>
</div><div>And isn't he Florida's recruiting coordinator?</div><div>

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: 12px; line-height: 18px; ">http://www.gatorzone.com/story.php?id=17496 Known for being an elite recruiter, Drayton was named one of the nation's top-25 recruiters in 2007 following his involvement with Florida's No. 1-rated recruiting class. He mentored the Gator running backs from 2005 through 2007. Drayton has also coached at Tennessee (2008), Mississippi State (2004) and Villanova (1996-2000). At Florida, the Gator rushing offense ranked third in the SEC and 23rd nationally under Drayton's direction in 2007, averaging 200.2 yards per game.</span>

we would drop 50% of the passes in the 1st H but make spectacular one-handed catches just before the game ends to save the day
