If I want to defend Stansbury then I will but that is not what I am talking about in this thread. Take your hard on for Stansbury to one of the many threads bashing him if you want to do that.
When all is said and done, Ole Miss will not be a top15 team. Ole Miss and State will hang around in the 20-25 range most of the season. We are not in it right now but we will be. What is so gosh damn hard for you people to grasp about my saying that we don't have the talent of teams like Kansas, Kansas State, Texas, Duke, UConn, Syracuse, Michigan State, Villanova, Kentucky, and some of the other teams in the top 15? WTF is so hard about that concept? You are so ready to pounce on Stans that you can't see the obvious.

One thing I do agree on is that Sidney is the missing piece. Kodi has not been worth **** at the 4 spot and that has hurt us badly.

Top 15-25 Talent makes it to the Sweet 16

If you can't figure out what's wrong with this statement, I can't help you.

MSU has had top 15-25 talent several years since our Final Four, but we have not been close

We played both Duke and Memphis down to the wire in the 2nd round. We didn't get the job done, but you can't say we weren't close to the Sweet 16 those years.

Come on Pat you know better than that. Just because you have the talent doesn't mean you get there every time, it helps but coaching factors in too. Also, a little luck never hurts...

if he doesn't have top 16 talent. And speaking of luck, you can't argue that Stans has had some very bad luck in a couple of draws. Playing Texas in Dallas and Xavier when they were the hottest team in the country (knocked off undefeated and #1 St. Joe the previous week and played Duke to the wire the next week) weren't exactly the kind of draw those two teams deserved.

So can everyone - Downey and Wall.

Then it gets hard. Terrico and/or Warren, Mikhail Torrance, Fortson, Beal, and Boynton/Walker are all good players with strengths and weaknesses. The problem is I am not sure that if the question was posed the other way (name the 6 PG in the league you would certainly choose Dee over) that it is any easier to distinguish from this group.

I do think I would certainly take Dee over Reed, Maze, Ware, and Spencer.

and fourth leading scorer. I get the turnovers, and is FT percentage is ridiculously low ... I just don't see how a guy who has averaged double figures for four years is anywhere close to "an offensive liability". And as you said, when he's being relied upon to do too much (like for the past couple of years), his other issues are more prevalent. Not to hijack the thread, though ... I do think our talent level is much lower than top 15.
