Normally I don't do these... but between Ole Miss and Arkansas...

who do you all have? The main reason I'm asking this is because, looking at Arkansas' schedule... if they lose against Ole Miss, their bowl chances are pretty much dead. They have to go no worse than 3-1 against their last stretch of teams whose records currently total up to 27-4. In that case, their best chances of getting a win is against Tulsa, and with what ULM showed us... that wouldn't be a guaranteed win.

I'm starting to think it might be in our best interest if Ole Miss actually won this game. Regardless if Ole Miss wins this game or not, I really think they'll come into the Egg Bowl giving us all they got. Assuming if they lose this game, but win against Vandy and they're fighting for bowl eligibility come Thanksgiving, it will be that much tougher playing against both teams fighting for a bowl berth. What do you guys think?

There wa a thread on Nafoom

that showed Arkansas and Ole Miss' common opponents. Obviously, Ole miss has played most of the same competition (Auburn, aTm, and Bama) closer than Arkansas has... but what it fails to point out is that in Arkansas' last two games, they've gone back to being the Arkansas of old... scoring a **** ton of points.

I think Arkansas wins this game by double digits and will be putting my money where my mouth is on Saturday. I think they cover the 6 point spread.

And also, I think I'd rather play a demoralized Ole Miss. If they lose to Arkansas, Vandy, UGA, and LSU prior to us... it really snaps them (and their fans) back to reality. All of those moral victories (against Bama, Texas, aTm) won't mean jack **** then.

Arkansas still scares me when they are confident. Ole Miss doesn't so I'll be rooting for the dumpster fire in Arkansas to start blazing again.

I think both teams' bowl hopes are slim to none. This weekend will certainly eliminate one, and give the other a glimmer of hope. I personally think Arkansas wins barring no injury to Wilson. Wilson is the sole reason they win this game in my opinion.

Regardless of outcome, both teams will be dangerous down the road for us. I definitely think Ole Miss is the most dangerous of the two, because Arkansas is expecting more coaching turnover and it is hard to keep the mentality of the team under those circumstances.

Even if ole miss becomes demoralized for not making the postseason, it only makes the egg bowl more meaningful to them. I think both teams as far as the schedule goes are in equal positions, but ole miss is laying the foundation this year while Arkansas has no clue about next year. Hugh Freeze could launch his career at Ole Miss with an egg bowl win. Just look at what Mullen did his first year

I think Arkansas matches up well against Ole Miss, who appears to be susceptible to being beat deep.

Not saying I can't agree with what you're saying (I kind of do), but I wonder if Ole Miss fans said the same about us in 09.
