North Piedmont Conference Championship: 7-2 Mooresville @ 7-2 Lake Norman

Well we had this in 2013 and 2014 in NPC and We get to do it once again. There no love lost between the 2 but its friendlier then when I was in school lol but Mooresville looks to win their 4th straight vs Lake Norman. Last LN win was the Fall season of 2021 and Normal season was 2016.

Mooresville is coming off a 45-13 win over Statesville.
Lake Norman is coming off a 23-10 win over Davie

Even though I put the Record and all that......... Throw em out the window bc when these 2 plays - U never know what can happen as We have seen all time of games in this series with 1 pt wins to Blow out to 7 OT games so.

It’s a rivalry game plus playing at Lake Norman. I see this as a tight ballgame in the 1st half like 14-7 and then Mooresville opens it up with 28-10 win.

This Thursday sets up a big matchup with Lake Norman vs Mooresville for conference Championship title.

Statesville Freshmen JV QB has been out with an injury for the past few games. He would have been good enough to start on Varsity. I know injuries are part of the game and it sucks.

LN has a great group. I like their game plans game in game out. LN will be ready.

This is Ln best year to beat Mooresville imo but On Paper Mooresville should win by atleast 14 or so

I’m thinking Mooresville will take conference this year. But after a huge graduation from Mooresville, Lake Norman will rise for next couple seasons that is if QB for LN hangs around.

Mooresville has the edge in DL, QB, RB, WR

LN has the edge in OL, LB, Secondary

The main battle we will have to watch is LN WR vs Mooresville DBs - LN WR are decent but struggle at times but Mooresville DB are inconsistent at times as well but gotten better since Week 1 but still can be had
I believe if LN OL holds vs DL vs Mooresville they can take some shots down the field
LN for the sweep n Upset this year.

From a financial standpoint, I am not sure how you can limit tickets, unless the stadium is at capacity with whatever number it is.

I’m not sure why 5,000. I’ve never known them to do that. Unless maybe being Halloween plus security reasons. I’m thinking you might get around 6500-7.000 fans with it being standing room only with fans wrap around the fence. Maybe they don’t want to be so cludder up. With traffic the traffic on 150 at Lake Norman is horrible as well.

Well they said 2 years ago they only sold 4,200 so I guess its not really capping but Idk i feel those this is a big game so u could get up to 5-6k for folks in but Who knows

To be fair, that’s more than enough to fill that stadium. I think they’re probably trying to avoid the traffic jam getting out lol it took almost 2 hours to get out last time we were there

Let’s not forget this evening JV game will be going on that will decide conference. 6-3 Mooresville will take on 8-0 Lake Norman. Should be very good ballgame.
