Whats up with mark above the O in Rhone on everyone else's posts about him. My cell phone keyboard doesnt do that. I assume it has something to do with the Rhône river in France.
What I have heard is there is colleges really interested and offers probably on the way. He probably little behind on recruiting when he got there. Them coaches really market these kids well. So I would imagine he will be hearing something soon. If my count is correct 6 different kids holds college offers at this point. From senior class
"Them Coaches" At West Montgomery know how to put kids in college and have always. "Them Coaches" at North Stanly know how to recruit. A player with that kind of talent should have already been signed. Any guesses as to why he isn't? I'll let it play out in real life. Not on a message board. All that talent won't get North Stanly much further than the 3rd round. And that's with a 1st round bye. They have been out coached most every game this season. They just out athlete the competition. Just like the last three years.
Who are the six players? And what offers? CJ Clark-NC State, Little-UNC, Davis-Campbell......

Them coaches at west Mont that you are referring to aren't even there anymore they are at crest and as for putting kids into college how many kids have they sent to or are sending to D1 schools or college in general.....say all you want about north but numbers don't lie, past 4 years they've had or are sending 5 players into D1 schools
Another Thing Deadpool Kids usually have there biggest recruiting sophomore and Junior years.. It is hard to get D1 attention if they haven't noticed you before your senior year. DJ Rhone arrived at North Stanly his senior year. The recruiting should have been already happening before Junior year. Just Saying

North Stanly has had numerous D1 players and 2 playoff wins in the HISTORY of their school. They are one of the worst coached teams in the state and have been. As far as "signing" goes everyone that follows high school football knows what I meant. I'm not getting on here and knocking a kid. Should be plane as day as to why he hasn't received ANY offers at all. He was a good player his Soph. year when WM played for the 1AA title and even better last year's run to the 3rd round against Tarboro. West Montgomery has placed a couple of players at D1 schools over the last four or five years and a few more in smaller colleges across the state. No where near the level of talent that North Stanly has been able to recruit. So with all that talent they have had what the hell do they have to show for it? Do tell. As far as I can see two playoff wins in 50+ years. West Montgomery had that many last season.
Rhone makes North Stanly's terrible o line look less terrible. The comets will be exposed in the 3rd round, East or west.

Where playoff games are won and lost is along the Offensive Line, Defensive Line and Defensive Secondary. All three are exposed when North Stanly plays teams that have actually coached their players as opposed to relying on raw talent. Numbers don't lie. North Stanly has had more talent than any team in the West 1AA for 5 years. TWO playoff wins to show for it. Doesn't take a genius to figure out what the common denominator is. Good recruiters. Piss poor coaches.

You boast on one hand how much D1 talent they have, how the kids are going to college but yet all that the coaching staff has done is a 2 playoff wins. By the way, getting past the second round in 1AA is tough but when you have D1 talent it shouldn't be. I gave you the facts from West Montgomery placing kids in college. I gave you the facts that West Montgomery equaled North Stanly's playoff win total last season in what many viewed as a "down" year. Calling me an idiot and making asinine statements like you have been making shows who the idiot is. And it damn sure isn't me. West Montgomery will close soon. Sad day. But I can assure you and yours North Stanly can remain open for another 55 years and will NEVER come close to having the program or achieve the level of maintained success that West Montgomery has had. Now run along and eat some more paint chips or lick the windows. Arguing with idiots isn't on my agenda today.
You still haven’t answered my question about our coaching staff at NS. The truth is NS program hasn’t had success until it entered the 1a ranks. And Scott Crisco took over. The talent has finally arrived and has been coached up. And I will let this secret out NS will be as good or better next year.
North Stanly being as good or better next year is not a secret. It's a dream because they lose 17 seniors and all of their skill players and their best lineman. Unless they get a whole lot of "transfers" in before next season they are looking at a 500 season at best.
The coaching staff at North Stanly has had numerous college players in the last 5 years. Whenever the current regime took over they benefited greatly from SEVERAL transfers from within and outside the county. Even with all of that talent they have won one playoff game. I believe the other playoff win was under a different head coach. If not, then they have won TWO playoff games. North Stanly has never had the talent Albemarle, South Stanly or West Stanly has had. Now, with the "new" coaching staff all of a sudden North Stanly is a destination school for players from all over Stanly County a few from surrounding counties. If you call "home grown" talent the best from the area then yes. Congrats. I know for a FACT reps from North Stanly actively pursued Damon Rhone for two years. He and a few more from West Montgomery were actively recruited to come play at North. It wasn't the coaching staff. But it was made DAMN clear that if the players came to North they had a spot in the starting lineup. These were North Stanly fans, boosters, friends of the program whatever you want to call them. Losing 17 seniors at any level, especially 6 potential college signees, will hurt any program. Especially one as dysfunctional as the one in New London. Enjoy your three year run of success. It comes to an end I'd say in the next two to three weeks. Next season you go back to being the bottom tier team you have always been. If you think anything different then you must know something about the incoming recruiting class we don't. But, again, at the end of the day a coaching staff that has mustered the record this one has with multiple D1 players at the 1A level isn't striking fear in any team of substance. Never will. Know your role.

Agreed, but message boards are extremely flexible. A poster can post half -truths and hyperbole , "retire" , un-retire, "retire" again when team struggles and lose to rivals just switch boards and get a new screen name and start again.
To be honest you make up more than half of what you say. I know facts about NS program. You don’t. You are trying to spread negativity about NS. I may be hoping a little more than I should about next season. But hey as a fan that’s what I do. But there has been 2 transfers from other school to NS. In couple years that’s including DJ. He is unbelievable. Very talented young man. I would be upset too if he didn’t want to stay at my school after all the success west has had. Only 2 players that Transfer have contributed to NS success. We are have not had many winning seasons at NS until they got to 1a. So we would not have as many wins as west. Deadpool is a joke to this board with the stuff you make up about NS. Go get on east mont. That’s ur rival anyway
If you take those 2 transfers off North Stanly and I don’t think they win the conference.Put those two at Albemarle and they probably win 3 or 4 more games. It is what it is but I don’t think North next year will be anywhere near as good as they are this year. I’m one of the few if you go back after the East Rowan loss still picked them to win the conference and I’m not a North fan. Enjoy the rest of the season because there are a lot of teams who will be watching from the stands while North is playing.
Thanks. You are right. I’m just enjoying watching the comets play. Glad they have did as well this season. Next year will be fun to watch though. I was wishfully thinking about the team being that good next year. Which we all should hope our teams do better the year after. There is a heap of talent coming through But it may be next year or the one after before they are ready Good luck to everyone the rest of way
Good luck in the playoffs North Stanly..... West Montgomery didn't make it and didn't deserve to make it. No sour grapes on that at all. As far as the "facts" about your team not one time did you deny the players being talked to by boosters, friends of the program or people with ties to North Stanly. It's called karma. And judging by the NCHSAA placing North Stanly where they did and the seeding they received,well, wise man once told me karma is a b*#@$. You are getting a double dose of it!
