For Page having 11 total seniors, N Guilford having 17 starting seniors on top of about 15 more players dressed, i'll take a 27 point comeback loss.. The amount of heart and grit that Page showed tonight was incredible. Page went down 27-0 before scoring just before halftime and on the first possession of the 2nd half, making it 27-14. Page rallied all the way back tying it 41-41 with 47 seconds left. But Northern was able to make a couple extra plays to put it away with under 20 seconds left. The go ahead TD went just through the Page DBs fingertips. Hats off to the Nighthawks.. I will say that I still think the Page/Northern "rivalry" has ALWAYS been better than the Northern/Northwest version. Just like Page/Dudley is better than Dudley/Smith...... but i guess that's what happens when you have a tradition like Page's.
Tonight, Page welcomed back 9 former coaches and athletes into the inaugural W.H. Page Sports Hall of Fame. It was something else to see all that greatness from yesteryear on campus at once.
