I like Miles as a person, his track record shows he can build a program at lower levels but I have changed my mind about his ability to do it at a power 5 school.

We just let a true freshman in his second career game go for 28 points and 12 rebounds....I guess the young excuse for Miles will not fly for this loss. 10 Big Ten losses in a row folks......
Young is a ******** excuse in hoops. Pure ********.

Is Miles untouchable because Osborne hired him? That's the vibe some want to convey...

What the hell does that have to do with it Miles has won every where he has Coached. Not as if Nebraska is a power house basketball program

I have seen idiots post that since he was an Osborne hire, that they will support him no matter what. It is the definition of retarded thinking.

It's obvious he needs now to recruit some big buddies to compete in this conference he just hasn't landed one yet.
His problem was he was too successful his 2nd year here.

We need a roster overhaul. Parker, Webster, Fuller, and Hammond are not B1G players. The jury is still out on McVeigh but his defense his awful. I like what I have seen from Watson and Jacobson and White is clearly big time but thats obviously not enough. I love Shields but he has some huge holes in his game, hopefully Roby can fill his spot next year and have a better outside shot and can go left when he needs to. I like Morrow quite a bit but it's clear Miles doesnt know how to use him at all, so i doubt he hangs around much longer. Miles has been anemic these past 2 years and unless he can find a true center and stop all these recruiting misses I dont think he'll last any longer than Doc did.

This was a game Miles need to win to start the conference season no question about that and no excuse but hay NW just out played us and NW is going to have their best season in school history time will tell if they make the Tourny.

That all depends if you can get the 5* McDonald all America's like Kentucky....

Nebraska isn't in that category.
I support miles(mostly) but this makes no sense, pardon is a 3*. You gotta finish on a big guy, we literally are probably the 2nd worse at the 5 in a power 5 conference (other is Tennessee)

The fact that our offense is a stagnant mess lacking movement doesn't help.

We could also make some noise dropping Benny from starter, and use morrow at the 4, where he can gain confidence against like players

Watson
Shields
White
Morrow
Jacobson

We would at least have more able bodies at the rim to help.

Good observation and you hit the nail on the head.

That's his problem? It appears he has much larger problems than that. Year 2 is the only thing saving him at this point and likely bought him extra years.

Did you not just see a kid who was redshirting until 2 games ago score 28 and 12 and control the game? Our offense continues to be a chicken-**** shuffle with no threat of a post game. Not to mention being outrebounded by 15 and not stopping a thing.

Why do I keep watching these?

I ask myself the same thing. Tired of watching this mess. You would think they would learn from performances like this, that when you work hard (1st half), good things generally happen. The second half defensive and rebounding effort was putrid. I think I heard that Northwestern had 14 offensive rebounds. We were outrebounded 40-25.

Boxing out is a concept we are unfamiliar with. Poor fundamentals and a mystifying offensive scheme will get this young team a last place finish.

NW is a veteran team the kid step up and attached our biggest weakness.. agree with you on our offense ( movement).

A 3-star true frosh 1 game out of redshirt is not "veteran". There is literally no spinning it like it is.

JMHO, Miles runs an offense that he doesn't have the players and athleticism for. When that is the case, you have to have more and better ball movement.

JMHO, Nebraska has to work too hard for their points, and I wish they played more like McDermott's teams that work hard to get easy points.

I forgot he was the only player on the court for NW today... Nebraska was playing one against 5.

There is no I in team.

If you think they are so much more veteran, post up their starters career games in comparison to ours.... I will wait patiently for your head to explode.

This is a poor excuse. Success in 2nd year shouldn't make your team get worse. Take the expectations out of the discussion. This team is getting worse after Year 2. Look at the records.

No. Here is your shot to actually have a factual statement, and contribute something besides fashion advice. You made the claim, back it up.

When do you ever back your **** up.... I forgot you just like to start ****.....which is even obvious in this thread earlier.

Further more consider NW and NU players coming off the bench would be included and means that Freshman that you meantined cleaned or clock.

Good evening.

But we have been assured by HTO and his lackeys on this board that if you question Miles in any way you are a fool and a horrible person. This is fecal basketball we are watching. In year 4. I am sorry but Miles is not getting it done
