Just so you guys know we weren't really recruiting that hard at the end. We already have 4 WR commits.

I am a big Flood supporter but I do admit something does drive me nuts. He always counts his scholarship limit way way too early and doesn't take into account attrition. I can probably name 5-10 different examples over the last 3 years were we had a shot at a decent kid but stopped recruiting him early because there wasn't a scholarship open at the time. And every time something happens where it turns out there were plenty open a short time later. Hell in year one right before everyone decommitted we had a 5.6 *** OL commit to us but Flood didn't take the scholarship. Fast forward 4 months later and we could have taken him 5 fold.
I remember him
Jamie Herr or something like that. We thought of "greyshirting him" Great move by Flood lol

Remember the recruiting disaster of 2014? The mods kept saying 2015 are going out of state but Flood is in good with the 2016 class. Well....

It wasn't really the mods. We were sold a "bill of goods" by some guys - who no longer post here - who thought they knew better, than the mods, based on twitter accounts. Bottom line is they knew no more than you, me, or any of the mods, and many, MANY posters here fell for the ******** they were spewing. It's a shame, too, because it caused one of the deepest divides this board has ever seen and for, literally, NO reason whatsoever. What they did should be taught in "recruiting boards 101" as "epic fail."

^Flood was in good with 2016. We actually got in state players to visit this year. baby steps lol.....

In all seriousness, I don't know how some people don't see this as a problem at this point. I got in an argument with a friend on FB about it. He posted some article about MSU and Dantonio and said Flood is making great strides. I called out Flood's recruiting because I'm sick and tired of losing out on top NJ guys. I love this class, but you have to sprinkle in a guy like Harmon, or Mitchell, or Fuller in there. We have zero in roads with the NJ private schools. Sure, we got Hester Depaul, but not much after that. The sad truth is, the top private school players couldn't care less about us (Fitzpatrick, Wimbush, Peppers, Walker, Gary, KJ Gray, Hilliman, JG etc.). These guys are program changers. Someone has to explain to me how in the world Schiano landed Savond huggins after a four win season and the worst offensive line the the country (statistically speaking), but we can't land a top NJ private school guy after an 8 win season in the B1G. With a school like Rutgers, it has everything to do with the coach. Umich is going to get their's regardless of record and coach. They are Umich. We are Rutgers. Our name doesn't carry that type of excitement. That's where we need to coach to finish the job.

And they're all the insiders on a big new board now I believe.

The spin that was occurring and prosecution of those who called it for what is was, was a disgraceful time in the history of this board.

I don't think guys like AYN or RU2055 got one thing wrong, while the positoids were insanely off base, and few of them will still not concede defeat.

Flood has sunk this program. I don't see how it can be denied.
