I'll still watch it for sure, but a Patriots-Seahawks matchup seems like a meh game. If I were flipping through the channels on a Sunday after church and stumbled on this matchup, I'd pretty quickly look to see what the other televised matchup has going on.
Probably the best two teams in each conference, that is what the super bowl is supposed to be. There can be an argument that football is probably dying at the NFL level just like college. I remember a youtuber played NBA 2k and only allowed 40 rated players to be drafted and they charted the history as the older and good players retired away and were replaced with garbage players. This is kind of how it feels in the NFL. We have nearly 50 year old qbs still able to play while young bucks sit. We have guys like Joe Burrow making 40 million a year, missing a ton of time due to injury and having existential crisis in front of the media. New era I guess. Just shut up and do your job.

I’ll have to place some bets to get excited for it

I love the matchup but I have a rooting interest on both teams. I became a closet Pat’s fan because of Russ Hochstein. I’ve known Russ’s dad. Then I also knew Adam Vinaterri’s aunt.

I am a 50 year Seahawk fan…from their first snap in ā€˜76 we had season tickets. I had a friendship with Jim Zorn the OG QB in Seattle.

But I get it, when the Bowl isn’t attractive to you, that sucks. I’ve had many of those and got Mahommes burnout right after Brady burnout. At least you get a dude in a dress at halftime. I know…I’m not helping 🤣

I’m a Darnold fan. Good dude and I was pissed when my Vikings didn’t re-sign him. I love the redemption stories of early round QBs who get trashed when they’re playing for the crappy franchises that drafted them only to go on and succeed. Daniel Jones was another guy I wished my Vikings had kept instead of Mc Carthy. I said 2 years ago I liked the tantalizing flashes of talent he showed. Thought he needed a better coaching staff

If the Super Bowl doesn’t interest you, turn your attention to the Pro Bowl, where Shedeur Sanders was just awarded a spot on the squad. No, I’m not kidding.

Guess Huskers fans were wrong about Sanders lol. He was so good he made the Pro Bowl as a rookie while not even starting half the teams games lmao.

Think it says much more about the Pro Bowl and the league than it does about him.

But hey a Pro Bowl is a Pro Bowl!!

I want to see if Seattle can break their will. I want to see Vrabel lose his shid. I want to taste the pain of seeing the quarterback the Vikings let walk win a Super Bowl the very next year.

I hope the food is good. I have some control here.

There hasn't been an exciting matchup since Bengals - Rams.

The people needed Bills - Bears this year.

This is a great development for us

now Rhule defenders can say his best win at NU is over a pro bowl QB who had his number retired

Plenty on here are not Rhule defenders, they just don’t take a $&it on him every time his name comes up.

I have more issues with Dannen giving him extention.
You don’t have to always ***** every time someone hands you a new rope.

It's gonna be hilarious if McCarthy leaves Minnesota and he's the next great redemption story.

Will you love it then? šŸ˜‰

I would have wanted another Eagles-Chiefs matchup earlier in the year, but not as the season progressed. My birds just didn't have it all season, and Chiefs sans Pat are nowhere.

Bills-Bears could have been fun.
